Will the Yorks Sell once the Stadium is built?

I was talking Niners with my buddy, whose hatred for the Yorks makes SanDiego49er look like a loving supporter, at the gym and he is 100% convinced that the Yorks are dying to sell but they know they won't get JACK s**t for the team in the state it's in right now. No wins, No Playoffs, No Championships, No Coach, No QB, NO STADIUM. He thinks that they are playing the edge and using strategy. If they sell now, they don't get nearly as much as they could get if we had a State of the Art STADIUM; a Multi-Million dollar project that they are trying to get the Tax Payers to front mind you. Think about it from the Yorks Standpoint. It's obvious that Dr. John and Denise pull the purse strings and do not have a passionate connection to the 49ers that Eddie D had and that Jed is doing a half assed job of pretending to have. That being said, it would only be a Small investment for the Yorks to build a stadium because the majority would be out of the Tax Payers pockets and not theirs. The 49ers then get the rights to the stadium and thus appreciating the value of the business they want to sell. They essentially would be selling the Stadium that they didn't pay for... Kind of like buying a fixer upper with no money down, slapping on a new coat of paint, maybe some tile, and new granite counter tops, and selling it for double. The Yorks stand to have a team that is worth WAY more once the stadium is built, and when it finally does get built, they can then sell to the highest bidder. They would stand to gain exponentially more money than they would if they sold now. It kind of makes sense, but of course there's no evidence. The only way to find out is when & if the stadium ever gets built. I wouldn't be surprised though if it gets built and they put the team up. Smart exit strategy from a business stand point.

Why invest so much money, time, and effort into building the stadium and then sell?? Tile, paint, counter tops don't cost 100 million. Makes no sense.

The Yorks are kind of like Cohan was for the Warriors. They don't want to sell when the team is down and it looks like they are bailing out because of ineptitude. Also, they similarly hate the idea of another owner coming in and turning everything around and confirming the ineptitude.

It is so much more pleasureable, and more lucrative, to go out on top.

Cohan, though, eventually had to sell because there was trouble with the IRS and he needed the money. Had he been flush tax-wise, he would have probably kept the team until it was turned around and he could leave on top.

So, yes, if they can get the stadium done and the team and ownership respected, then they may take the billion or so and move on, secure financially and in reputation.

What this means is that the worse the team and its ownership's reputation, the longer they keep the team. If they succeed, they may sell. Sort of the opposite of what the fans would like, eh?

Wow another dancing lock... so original bro... It's not an out of the question thought that they would want to sell after building a stadium. Do you not realize that if they really do want to sell, and if they sold now, they would make less than if they waited until the new stadium is built?

Yorks are business people first, and this would be an extremely stupid business decision, so no, it makes absolutely 0 sense for them to sell.

People sell their business all the time that are still lucrative and making money for multiple reasons. They get bored, tired or they LOST THEIR PASSION... Sound like anyone we know? It wouldn't be a stupid decision. They could make quite a bit of money in doing so.

As to the topic. Makes no sense. Financially-speaking that is. Yes, it might be more attractive for a person wanting to buy the team if they had the stadium situation taken care of. But why invest whatever portion of the 100 million is theirs, the time, campaigning, etc.? They wont see the same return on their money cause the value of the team wont increase by that much. Besides, it will take more than "a fresh coat of paint" to make this sorry-ass organization more appealing. GM? Coach? QB? All of that = non-renewing season ticket holders.
