And if I'm not mistaken, I believe we all would LOVE history to repeat itself when it came to luring a coach from Stanford to coach the 9ers. I know this is improbable and yes I did enjoy my weedies this morning, but Harbaugh and Luck would be a wet dream come true.

GM - I am a little fuzzy when it comes to what the 9ers actually want in a GM. For my lack of knowledge in this area, I'm just going to say I want Holmgren as our GM seeing as how he is a link to our glory days.

We have all of the other parts in place. Our defense is pretty much there. Sure a pass rusher and an elite CB would be great, but we can win if we had a capable QB with a capable HC calling the shots. No more of this "I need to look at the tape" BS

Speaking of which, my first and last thought on Singletary:
One of the greatest LBs to ever play the game. If Patrick Willis has a career half as good as Singletary, he will be in the HOF (Blasphemous, I know). But it's true. Mike was the guy we all knew he would be. A stern, disciplinarian who took nothing from no one. That is why we all fell in love with him. But he had NO business coaching in the NFL. Not yet anyways. And more times then not, great players do not make great coaches, not even good coaches. Thank you Mike for all of your phrases and whipping VD into shape. Your fire and passion for the game of football will be missed but your coaching will not.
