I just read that Eli Manning called a players only meeting after the loss to eagles. Does anyone know if the niners had a players only meeting anytime during that 0-5 start ? Did Alex Smith call everyone together to lead them out of that funk (okay I have to laugh now

Well, in all fairness pep talk is only meaningful if the team starts to win afterward.
See: Mike Singletary's entire coaching career.

I wish Patrick Willis could play cornerback and safety simultaneously.

IMO this is what Ronnie Lott and Steve Young have been saying about this team, no real pros that step up and call everyone else out. Too many sheep and no wolves.

For instance, I'd love to see Alex call out Crabtree on his lousy routes. Or to Rachal and A. Davis for being sieves. Patrick Willis has to starting screaming at all those players missing tackles. Someone's got to be accountable during the game. Singletary apparently can't see what's happening in the game until he sees it on film.

He does watch the sideline after almost every dropped pass on third down.

you can thank Nolan for that. That is what he wanted and it has carried over with Singletary. Don't question my authority, just go out there and suck because that is what I said to do!
