With 3 weeks remaining Davis has 744 yards. That means he is 256 yards away from his first 1000 yard season. With Gore out Davis has had impressive back to back games of 126 and 70 yards. He needs to sustain that and average 85 yards the last three games to get the milestone. Personally I don't think we look to Davis enough during a game. He had 62 yards on the First drive vs. Seattle, then he finished with 70 yards. Then again the defense did set us up with field position in which we rarely had to try to stretch the field. Both Alex and Davis would have to both be very together to reach that mark ...... He gets over 900 yds.

Davis averages a little over 52 yards per game. Unless he has a monster game in there somewhere or steps up his game the next few games he will finish barely over 900 yards.

he has an outside shot at it. i'm still pissed from last years rams game when we were in the redzone twice in the 4th and gave the ball to gore both drives instead of giving VD a chance to break the TE td record which he had tied earlier in the game

I agree with 2 of the 3, but why do you think Johnson is "horrific"?

I hate to put my coaches hat on here but I hope we target him enough to score the game winning TD on Thursday!!

I think we have a chance to win on Thursday, we just have to learn from our mistakes in Green Bay, that when you have a great QB like Rivers and Rogers you just need to take away the deep pass and make them throw short.

If we try to blitz he'll burn us.

uh, that was the game plan in GB and almost everyone on this board was complaining all game.

Once we started to blitz we got burned big time.

Vernon will get 1000 yds when we trade for Phillip Rivers next season. LOL.

Seriously I think Vernon can do it. He is the best weapon we have no doubt about it.

I could care less about his yards. I hope he gets another 5+ TD's in the last 3 games.
