I think we went back to playing NFL football...

The Chargers do have the best passing defense in the league but, unfortunately for us and Mike Singletary, when they lose, its because of ST and their run defense. They lost to the following teams:

KC - 94 yard punt return for TD by Mccluster and 130 yards rushing between Jones and Charles

SEA - 2 Kickoff returns for TD's by Leon Washington

STL - 108 yards rushing for Stephen Jackson

OAK - 2 blocked punts, one returned for TD and 108 yards rushing for Bush

NE - missed game tying FG as time expired

OAK - 180 yards rushing for Bush and Mcfadden and a muffed punt by Sproles inside their 15 yard line

Our special teams (return team) have been pretty good but what scares me is that when we play teams that arent that good against the run, we try to run too much and fall behind. Hopefully Mike swallows his pride and at least tries to keep a good balance

won't happen, Singletary will try to force his ancient football philosophy on the offense once again. The offense will look anemic due to the fact that they can't get into a rhythm. The defense will make Rivers look like a probow.....wait. CRAP!!!! he is a probowler. This will tear the space time continuum. GREAT SCOTT!

Our defense is not that bad when the offense is moving the ball and not giving our opponents 2, 3, 4, and 5 extra possesions due to turnovers. I do not think Rivers will sit back there and have a field day to be honest. His best target, Gates does not have a HUGE mismatch like he normally does week in and week out. Manny Lawson is one of the best covering LB's in the game and with some bracket coverage help with our safeties, I think he will be able to do enough to not let Gates dominate that match up.

Also, with Vincent Jackson still hurting, their WR core is not the best. Yes he has done a lot of damage without him all year long but Gates also having those ridiculous mismatches also opened alot of things up on the outside. I do not expect them to run the ball that much and we are not a familiar defense to him and we normally do well against QB's who are not use to seeing us (Manning, Cutler, Brees, Ryan) with exception to Aaron Rodgers who has done what he wanted two years in a row against us
