can I pick both 1 and 3?? YES YES YES, the team was too focused on Gore. Sing can say all the crap he wants to about how great Gore is... and thats fine, but its obvious that there is more talent on this team than just him... Westbrook and Dixon have played very well... and that fact that we are no longer forcing the ball down other teams throat 1.2 yards at a time gives us more ballance and a better offense.

Gore was the best offensive skill player on our team. I don't think he was best used by running in between the tackles 15 times a game, but I do think that featuring him in the backfield and as a pass-catcher was the best move.

Obvious answer is obvious... YES!
These days, you must open up your passing game. We KNOW we do not have the mules up front to overpower most opponents with runs up the gut. Frank Gore could and can run successfully in any scheme, but we needed to come out and pass the ball to open up the run... not vice versa. Singletary's a very stubborn man... much to the detriment to our team.

Yes.
It's pretty obvious too. But that's why we need a real HC. An offensive HC with knowledge would be able to incorporate Gore better into a passing O that the majority of our personnel excels at.

Gore is/was valuable without being the "bell cow" of the offense. He was overused and it was not necessary to take the risk of wearing him out before the end of the season. He is the best player on the team but everyone zoned in on him, giving him more of a beating. Westbrook may help A Smith more but Gore is an excellent reciever and could have been used more on swing passes.

ya I wish we looked for Vernon on vertical routes at least every other drive or about once a quarter. Vernon can move field position and create 30-40+ yard plays more than our best RB.
It sucks he had 62 yards on the first drive, but finished with 70. Vernon has "disappeared" in games way to often this year w or w/o Gore.
