So, the only real way our playoff hopes are completely shot dead this weekend are...
If the Rams beat KC and we lose to the Chargers...
or, if the Seahawks beat the Falcons and we lose to the Chargers...
Not true...
The most likely scenario that I see is for us to go 2-1 and both the Rams and Chickens to go 1-2. We should win against AZ and must win at STL. The Seahawks should lose to ATL and TB and the Rams should lose to us and the 12th man in Seattle.
Wait... what? There are only 3 games left for us. Not 5.
What I meant is that we need to win 2 out of 3; but, just typed it wrong...
Ah. Well I hear you. I was just talking about this weekend, not the remainder of the season.
Cool; but a loss to SD and the Rams winning does not eliminate us; in fact, that's my prediction.
You are right about SEA though, if the Chickens upset the Falcons in the battle of the birds, then we're probably done; but, with the problems they have at WR (injuries) I think we're safe...
Tell me how we still get in if we lose to the Chargers and the Rams beat the Chiefs?
Us:5-8
SD - L 5-9
Rams - W 6-9
AZ - W 7-9
SEA: 6-7
ATL - L 6-8
TB - L 6-9
Rams - W 7-9 (At SEA)
Rams: 6-7
KC - W 7-7 (they're banged up)
Us - L 7-8 (At STL)
Sea - L 7-9 (At SEA)
Final:
9ers 7-9 (we own the tie breaker)
Rams 7-9
Seahawks 7-9
If they beat the Chiefs and we lose to the Rams, I see our path to the playoffs near impossible, but I see what you're saying. What happens if we beat the Chargers and the Rams and Seahawks lose this weekend?
