Are there parallels between the 49ers and Redskins?

Very interesting comparison. Good stuff.

Forgot to mention that many of us wanted to pick up a Proven Starter to play under Center and that he ended up there instead.

Not workin out too hot for them right now.

The redskins have a more aggressive owner but a horrible ROI on their free agency signings.

Great comparisons but you left out personality of owners. Snyder and Jed are very different. Now if York, Sr. were still in control...no...he does not have Snyder's ego either. Your comparisons seem quite apt!

There main problem is offensive line. It's way worse than the Niners o line. And McNabb has still improved the team with 0 offensive weapons. He would have helped this team win more games.

As for the thread I hope they hire a Gm, and head coach. Get a solid GM, then find a solid coach that the GM and Jed can work with. I never really want the coach and GM to be the same guy. It's the coaches job to focus on winning now and the GM to focus on winning now but also take the future and big picture into account.

Agreed. Has Snyder done a horrible job so far? Absolutely. But is there an owner in football (other than Jerry Jones) more willing to spend whatever necessary on his football team? No.

Snyder is a young owner once he figures out to be patient and build through the draft the Redskins will be a winner I feel. Get your shots in now because Snyder won't be a punchline 5 years from now, imo. Wish I could say the same about Jed York.

He's owned the Skins for 12 yrs. You'd think by now he would get it.
