Can Westbrook please stay in the game?

It's as if the coaching staff doesn't respect his game. Earlier in the season, he never saw the field because they claimed Gore was too valuable in the passing game. Sorry, but there's no decline with Westbrook in the game. He's been picking up blitzes his whole career, so that's a lame excuse. If anything, Westbrook is more explosive in space and would help to open up offense on screens. However, Frank is our franchise back, so I accepted it. Even now, Dixon stumbles around and p***y-foots up the middle and occassionally fumbles, while Westbrook continues to look on from the sidelines. I like Dixon, but he's can't hold Westbrook's jock at this point in his career. Dixon looks good on sweeps or off-tackle when a guard pulls, but he's lost between the gaps, IMO. Westbrook showed last week what he can do as a starter, yet he got only 9 carries this week. What a joke. Westbrook gives us the best chance to win and he should be on the field. Part of the issue may be trying to limit his carries to prevent a concussion. If he goes down we will actually be in worse shape.

The problem is you letting that game against the Cardinals cloud your judgment. Even Kory Sheets would have had 100 yards playing against a defense that had quit. Westbrook is a better back than Dixon(i agree with the p***y footing) at this point, but he isn't very dynamic anymore. Out in space on a screen sure he can make something happen. But this team seems to have thrown the screen pass out of the playbook. The o line didn't open up a bunch of holes in the running game. and on top of that they seem to only use 2 different run plays.

Like in any good team, in Philly Westbrook had a good O-line. Even with Staley we have one of the worst o-lines in the league.

Why, so they can run him up the middle. Kills me. That is not his thing but we still insist on running right up the middle.

No, that game isn't the reason. I've been watching Westbrook for years and he still has the talent. I think most reasonable fans would agree that Westbrook is a better RB than Dixon. Dixon just seems confused at times. Westbrook is a smooth, slippery vet.

I just don't understand why he's not on the field for the majority of the snaps. Plus, between the two, Westbrook is the one producing up the middle. Dixon had a couple nice sweep rushes, but those were easy yards, considering everyone assumes we're going to run straight up the middle.

What he actually said is way different than what was posted. He did not imply they knew what was coming.

As for why Westbrook is not on the field more? Well, they accepted that after 10 games they were not sure how to use him...can you believe that? They have a capable proven veteran but after 10 games no idea on how to use him. Apparently, they have never watched "film" on the guy (pun intended)

C'mon, It's not a stretch to think that BJ and the rest of the Packer defense expected what was coming based on our playcalling history and Mike Sing's well known, well publicized approach to the game.
