Sure can, but our offense is Frank Gore and has been for years. This is like losing Patrick Willis on defense.

Frank makes a lot of guys look better on this offense. Hopefully Westbrook can play the season out strong with his fresh legs.

Broken hip = 100% retirement.

Fractured hip = loss in production/leading back status, nagging health problems/arthritis.

Why isn't this something a RB can make a full recovery from? I'm not a pro athlete or anything but I've broken bones before and they healed up 100%. Just earlier this week Reggie Bush returned from his broken fibula.

with a new HC coming in next season and more than likely a new OC I wouldn't expect Gore to be the center of the offense anyway.

They won't open up the offense with Troy Smith.

Gore will be fine... If people can tear up their knees and come back Gore can come back... He's a tough guy.

Hip is worse than a knee. Ask Priest Holmes and Bo Jackson.

Again I said it before Frank been abuse the past few years running behind a average at best O-line and most of the time take a pounding. Looks like this game was his limit and hip injuries to running back when he is older is not a good sign for the rest of his career as a lead back. Should of traded Gore, but was the vocal point of offense so nobody wanted to trade him. In the end the Niners got what they did Frank Gore abuses and starting to reach his limits. What a season suspect coaching, O-line, QB, DBs, and now your lead RB.

"Who gives a s**t if the 49ers won tonight? RAMS ARE IN FIRST PLACE BABY! And Frank Gore out for the season? Hopefully his career is over. f**k Gore and f**k the 49ers"
