who else is done with this season?

Every time we seem to be "turning the corner" Sing does something to ruin it. Whether it be not preparing enough for games or sticking with his RUN-first then pass offense that has done squat for us, he always seems to find a way to mess everything up. Could somebody please poor some water on this guy and say this is not the 85' Bears team that was lucky to win even one super bowl. Troy Smith threw for 356 yards against the Rams because he had GUTS and was willing to take risks. He had something that sparked a fire in this offense and good ole' Dingleberry was right there to put out the flame. He said that when Troy took risks and made big plays it was quote "a bad habit" and that he was going to try to weed them out. Look around Sing, do you see any good team that does not take risks? You are not going to win super bowls by playing conservatively and showing the other team that you are scared to death of them. Then, just when it seemed he could not be more incompetent he changes nothing on the offensive line that gave up 6 sacks to a team that had 8 all season. Okay, I will cut Anthony Davis some slack that he is a rookie, but Chilo Rachal? The guy is inconstant at best! He will play well on one play and completely wif the next. Why do they hate Snyder so mutch? Why not give him a try? Just imagine where this team would be with decent coaching. We would be atleast 5-5 and in the playoff race. What ever happened to out smarting your opponent and playing the game like it was a chess match. It was a thing of Beauty when Walsh would turn the opponents tiniest weakness into their biggest downfall. Time and time again it has proven that brains beats bronze in football and the best coaches in this league do not have to yell at the top of their lungs to motivate players and win games(Bill Belicheck and Tony Dungy). Who knows Alex Smith might look half decent if we had gone with the spread offense that worked so well for us last season, but no we half to do run-up-the-middle at least 10 times and get behind by 21 points before we see the spread come out. Even so, there is still hope! If Jed can higher a good coach like Gruden or Harbaugh we could see things turn around next year. Jed has not been given a fair trial. He wants to win and he wants to build something great. He was forced to higher Singletary at the end of the 2008 season so you cannot blame him for Sing's failures. Bottom line, we have to use the rest of this season to see what Troy's got and if he fails we should see what Nate Davis can do for us. In the off season Jim Harbaugh will likely be at the top of the list for the 49ers HC job. I recall some coach by the name of Bill Walsh came out of Stanford. Let's hope that lightning can strike twice.

i don't hope we lose all of our games, but i do hope that the bills and panthers go on some nice little winning streaks and finish better than we do.

Walsh came out of San Jose.

But JH is a real longshot. Don't get your hopes up.

While JH is great, he still doesnt have NFL HC experience which we need.

I don't understand what is different about being a major college HC and an NFL HC, especially when the person in question played in the NFL, his brother coaches in the NFL, and has many ties and connections within the NFL. If we're talking about a guy like Jim Tressel, who has spent his whole life in NCAA, or Joe Paterno, say, then I could see this being an issue. But I don't really see it being an issue for Harbaugh.

The big difference is a lot of college coaches are successful because of being awesome recruiters and having better athletes than their opponents. Then they get in a situation where they are on even terms athletically with the opposition and need to rely on x's and o's to win and they fail. See Steve Spurrier.
