Area49. Can you please just shut the f**k up already? How has this guy not been banned yet? I've yet to see you post ANYTHING other than trolling about something related to how the 49ers:

A) suck

and

B) they're moving to LA

GTFO! Go root for the Clippers because a fan like you doesn't even DESERVE the Lakers.

I'm trying to understand how the hell he got up to 760+ posts.

Granted, I don't pay a whole lot of attention, but the only time I notice this guy in any thread is when he can lobby for a move to LA.

It used to be that this team was the crown jewel of Bay Area sports. 5 Super Bowls, the oldest team in the Bay Area, and the oldest professional sports team in the entire state.

Now, the Giants have won the World Series and the Raiders are starting to look like serious contenders. The Warriors are 3-1.

If the Raiders can win another Super Bowl or two, the 49ers will no longer be needed in the Bay Area, at which point...well, you know.

Is that you, Magic Johnson?

LOL @ "the warriors are 3-1". 4 games means nothing. they might not even make the playoffs this year.

and the Raiders havent won more than 5 games in a season since 2002. them FINALLY winning 7 games or so, and the Warriors being an 8 seed hardly threatens the 49ers position among bay area fandom.

the Raiders are an even bigger wreck than the 49ers will ever be, and the Warriors are the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NBA. go troll elsewhere.
They suck so you don't get attention for that.

I don't see how your move the team argument is related to this?

Sorry to break the news to you buddy but uhh... we are DEFINITELY a bigger wreck than the Raiders. You can hardly call a 4-4 team a wreck, and if they beat the Chiefs this Sunday, which I'm predicting they will, they will be considered division contenders. Sucks to say cuz I hate the Raiders just as much as any Niner fan... but the truth is the truth. But hey, we still hold the bragging rights though right?

Well, other than the interest generated by Mike Singletary's rants that are captured each Sunday on TV, this team is not particularly relevant to anyone outside of the die hards in here.

The stadium is the oldest and worst in the league. They have a totally inexperienced kid in charge of the franchise. The city officials have been less than co-operative in improving the playing site. The team has achieved less with more talent than any other team in the league.

The good news is that the Giants success has taken the national focus off the 49ers so only the 'zone seems to care much about the football team. That makes the team rather "obscure."
One could say that this "slip into obscurity" took place when Eddie D lost control of the team or when Marriucci was fired. This club has been "obscure" for 7 years now.

Of late, when you play an uninspired, dull brand of football, annd you disappear for a month between games infront of the home fans, and you don't play at all in the prime of the season (bye), then obscurity is further accentuated.

Just wait until the blackouts start.........
While the Giants look good. The Raiders and the Warriors will continue to be pathetic.

For the most part Bay Area sports will continue to be underwhelming...so the Niners fit right in, not obscure at all.

One of the ESPN guys is picking the Raiders to beat KC this weekend, which will make them 5-4. WHAT?

THAT HURTS!

They are still pathetic. Fans get too caught up in little streaks here or there. I am not one of those fans. The Niners and the Raiders are about as basically pathetic from the top level down.

So what if the Raiders make a little noise this season? It will be just like the 2009 Niners, but next year the Raiders will fade again.

Sorry, I don't buy into such short term limited success like everyone else.

The Niners and the Raiders both suck, period.

Oh, I agree the Raiders are bad. However, the Raiders have been able to win games this years despite QB issues and their best RB being injured for several games.
