And by the way he is playing, Manny could be just outside looking in. I hated the way he played the past few years but he's gotten very aggressive this year and is actually hunting the ball rather than only making the tackle.

Thank you for bringing Gore's name up. Gore has been Mr. Everything for the Niner offense this season and his total yds proves it.

I agree that Manny has been playing well, but he'll always be over looked without big time sack numbers.

not even the first back with a 1000 yds from scrimmage on one of the worst teams
It is messed up that I have to think who should be an honorable mention!!!

When u suck for so long u should have some diamonds in the rough from high picks

Willis?
It is funny about Gore. So many people rip on him getting the ball too much , Alex checking down to him too often, and wishing for more responsibility for Dixon and Westbrook or the weak QB position, but when he doesn't get love from the national media, everyone comes to his defense. I don't want to lump people in this thread with his detractors, but it is an interesting observation.

Gore is a beast and I'm lucky to have watched him for the past 6 years.

Amen.

Gore runs as hard as any NFL player even though he is prone to busting either of his knees into early retirement.
you know that magazine is all f****d up if chilo rachal isn't in there!!!
They only listed OLBs though. Only Henderson plays the interior and he was just the comeback player. That list is gay, its not only about rushing the passer.

Some people act like it's a bad thing that Gore is one of the few workhorse backs left in the league. Hey Peterson, CJ, MJD, Jackson, Gore these are the every down backs, which to me, means that Gore is one of the elite backs in the league.

I don't get offended when he carries all of the RB load, but maybe that's just me.

People are just looking for anything to complain about. And when it comes to Gore 100 times out of 100 he gives it his all and is a true team player. Any negative comments towards Gore or his workload is completely unwarranted.

He is the man in SF, he is our best offensive player. He is also an elite RB in todays game. Did I mention he owns nearly every rushing record in Niner History in a brief stint!

To be fair, he hasn't done much of anything this year.

Justin Smith is more deserving, in my opinion.

People, if the name doesn't end in "ex," it's not funny or clever to add "cuses" to the end. Stop trying.

First time and probably last that I will defend him but he did say right before the season started that we were good and Alex was going to have a big year. Didn't happen but he did endorse us for once.

You have just proven Peter King is indeed an idiot.

Alex is not good and we're not having a big year - unless you could measure failure, in which case we're having a huge year in that department - so he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

Remember, the statement was that he's an idiot, not that he hates on the Niners (which he usually does, however).
