we can't afford to lose more than two of our next eight.
it's quite possible that we can win our five divisional games and one out of GB, SD or Tampa.
it's also quite possible for us to continue losing by two or three points, as well.
i really don't see any one in the division winning more than 8 games!
if the rams beat us next week (i don't think they will), more than likely, they'll win the division.

Before the season I know we had the talent to be a 9-7 team but we found out this:
1. Bad coaching staff
2. Beating ourselves (we play dumb... costly turnovers and penalties, missed blocks)
3. Inconsistent QB Play (and much of the time OL, WRs, coaches didn't help Smith)
4. Inconsistent Pass Rush
5. Secondary (bad coaching and dumb play... biting on double moves, not turning head around, prevent defense)
6. Lack of imagination on offense (some of the above fit under #1 as well) We thought running up the middle would work every time. Bad play calling, not getting play makers involved, not using players.

the niners are a good team that plays stupid. how many other teams that give up 3 or 4 turnovers to a good team like the saints or ATL and doesnt get flattened by like 20-30 points? if they werent so stupid with their mistakes they would have a winning record, we only got beat by the seahawks and the chiefs. if they start playing smart i can totally see the niners do what the titans did last year and string up a bunch of wins in a row. doing so would have negative effects tho. singletary would save his job because i dont think jed has the nuts to fire him anyway and with their luck they would just get close enough and choke at the end and miss the playoffs and just f**k up their draft slot. it would almost be worth it to lose out just to get a real coach next year but i want to see wins damn it!!!

The niners are one of the few teams that can turn the ball over 3 TO 5 times a game against some of the better teams and still lose by 3 3 2. Most teams would of got blown out.
By years end we will win the division at 8 AND 8 or lose it by a game to sea. Our coach should of fired raye a while ago not started davis at rt and many other bone head moves.
The niners are a solid team with avg qb and ol play as well as horrible o coordinator calls the first few games which has cost us at least 3 to 4 games....it will get better if not by the end of the year next year....we just hate waiting being niner fans. It could be worse. We could not have 5 superbowls ;-)
We are better than 2-6 and anyone who has watched a niner game knows it. You wont find many people out there right now saying the 49ers are a terrible team. I think every1 sees that they are generally a good team and that they are better than their record.
if the team that is on the field now could have been their all season, i say the team is an 8-8 or 9-7 team.
with a decent QB like hasslebeck or bradford, we could easily be a 10 win team.
if troy plays like bradford....there is a slim chance. if not, we are doomed. i say he has two games till coach goes back to alex. if he wins them, we could be on to something.

Until our record says we're a good team, we're not a good team.
That mentality is not only short sighten....its wrong and misleading....so guess it would be better to be a twam with a good record thats bad like the rams and seahawks than a team with a worse record like the niner that has had more than their share of flukes that have led to what our record is....thats why there is ANALYSIS. Teams like sf and sd even dal are good teams that are certainly ALOT BETTER than alot of teams especially in their division and in the nfl but only a blind man would say well since their records are better they must be better....think mcfly think! As stepbrothers will farrell said...that is a truly funny observation.
As Bill Parcells once said you are what your record says you are and right now our record says we are a bad team, we cant block QB play has killed us. Mike Singletarry has to be the worst coach in the NFL he does not know his elbow from his ass when it comes to coaching. Dingleberry is one of the major reasons why we are what our record says we are. Fire Dingleberry at the end of the season and bring in FOOTBALL guys to run our team. Parag and Jed do not know how to run a team we need someone to take us back to glory.

We should be able to beat TB and STL on talent alone, all Troy has to do is not mess up. GB will be a true test, I could see us getting blown out and having to go to the spread late like we usually do vs. good teams.

When you regress like we have from last season to this season then you are a bad team plan and simple. Good teams beat the teams they should (we definitely haven't), and they represent at home (ain't done this either). Not sure how many of you saw the Niner's when they were good but that was the Niner's for all of the 80's and 90's. As an accountant I know the bottom line is what counts. 2-6 speaks for itself, and unless you are into moral victories, which don't count in the real world, then you are fooling yourself. We are a bad team plan and simple. Doesn't matter if it is coaching, managing, or playing...

I've also wondered how many people here have ever seen this team when they were good. The youngest generation must be the ones posting all this optimistic BS and looking for any possible way to say it isn't as bad as it really is.
