dude....we are PREDICTABLE no matter what play we run. We run the play-action roll out ALOT. its probably 3rd next to, Gore up the middle, and Gore up the left/right.

We suck?

They just stack the box and have guys ready to go after Gore and the QB. No respect for our blocking, no respect for the quarterback, no respect for the WRs ability to get open quickly.

Basically, the only respect the defense gives is to Gore and Vernon Davis.

They watch the film. If you're sick of seeing Smith run right and throw out of bounds, you don't think the defense is ready for it?
Yeah but what about a Denver team that is known to NOT run, only runs 10 times during the game and we still fall for it?

f**k! Are we THAT stupid or is our offense giving something away at times?

It's called lack of talent, bad game planning, and football iq. For instance our safeties should now not to fall for the play action yet they do anyway. That's just bad football iq. Teams are blowing up the o line so quickly at times that it throws the play action off. Like others said this team is so dam predictable that it's something they easily spot on tape. Bringing in Westbrook to only run the screen tells the defense screen is coming everytime he comes in the game. Also add in that they only bring Ted Ginn to go deep on play action plays, so when teams see Ted ginn come on the field they keep the safety over the top. That all goes back into being so predictable. Like in the Carolina game. They came out big time throw off play action and TD. Panthers looked at the fil adjusted and the Niners weren't smart enough to counter act that thus they had nothing else to do. so it's talent, football iq, and bad game planning.
I remember someone making reference to an article that discussed Baas and Staley offering reveals on pass plays. I can't remember what Baas' reveal was, but the Staley reveal was his tendency to close his stance on passing plays--ie, as a tackle does on punt coverage.

I'll see if I can dig up the post and reference after work.
Singletary told Johnson not to run misdirection plays because he could not keep up with them during the game, that is why he needs to look at film before he can make any comments.
This is our coach:

Dark Helmet: What have I done my brains are going into my feet.{The ship passes over Lone and Barf} We passed them stop this thing.
Colonel Sandurz:We can't stop. It's too dangerous. We've got to slow down first.
Dark Helmet: Bulls**t. Just stop this thing. I order you stttoooppp!{they stop. Dark hits control panel}
Colonel Sandurz: Are you all right sir?
Dark Helmet: {helmet dented. glasses broke} Fine. How have you been?
Colonel Sandurz: Fine sir.
Dark Helmet: Good.
Colonel Sandurz: It's a good thing you were wearing that helmet sir.
Dark Helmet: Yeah?
Colonel Sandurz: What should we do know sir?
Dark Helmet: Well, are we stoped?
Colonel Sandurz: We're stopped sir.
Dark Helmet: Good. Why don't we take a five minute break.
Colonel Sandurz: Very good sir.
Dark Helmet: Smoke if you got 'em. {falls down}

I didn't read anything about this, but it does remind me of something.

As a game goes on, the o-line starts to get tired. As they get tired, they are sloppier in their stances. They don't bend as far as they should when they know it's a pass play, that kind of thing.

Maybe making them power block on run plays so often is tiring them out early?

I don't know.... I'm grabbing at straws here.

We just suck.

C'mon Troy... prove you're a Jedi!
Interesting point, Wodwo. I'll have to watch for that. Although I'll have to look closely because they're not all that good at keeping their butts down to begin with.
Maybe we're predictable cause the teams look at our forums!
Pursuing hard on the play-action often times will still at least stop the runner. As a team who often runs, that takes away our run.. AND our play-action in one fell swoop.
