In Vernon's case. Either they didn't want us to take him or they gave up on him too fast either way they're grasping at straws trying to tell themselves that they were right.

With Gore I just think people want the RBBC approach. I don't think anyone dislikes Gore, they just want us to be more like the Giants a couple a years ago or the Chiefs this year. Different styles of rb's can help loosen up defense sometimes. You hammer them for a couple of plays then Bradshaw breaks it loose.

This franchise has had a history of idiotic draft picks and trades.

I mean we banked our entire f**king 1985 draft on some bulls**t no-name college reciever from Mississipi, when we needed those picks for depth (and in following, lost to the Giants in the playoffs that year due to injuries/lack of quality depth).
