Except the flea flicker never worked on madden, for me at least. The rb would always get tackled before he had a chance to toss it back to the QB.

It had like a 5-10% success rate for me, the RB sometimes would get tackled but most the time would be able to send it back to my QB but then no one would be open...lol, so I'd just scramble around and either get sacked or scramble for some mediocre loss or minimal gain

Yeah, I never really tried it during a game because it would fail 90-95% of the time. Lol
But back to the OPs message, we have a rookie safety in Taylor Mays. He bit on the fake, but had the speed to catch up and make the tackle. He will learn from it and get better at recognizing it next time. Other than that, B Lloyd and Orton made a good play. I'll give them credit for that one. They executed, but I'm glad we still came up on top in the end.

I know right. Crap play(flea flicker) never worked for me even in rookie mode. LOL

Defense plays aggressive and likes the big hit. Our defense is undisciplined and bites/reacts/gambles all too often. Often looking for the big hit and not playing to their assignment.

Yep, one of the many effects of overall just being a horribly undisciplined team. Is it too simple to say that this is partially the fault of Sing who gets players riled up and itching to go but doesn't have a good command of details?

I've been screaming about screen plays for the whole year. Why is it so obvious to all of us that a screen is coming, but it looks as if it's the last play they ever expected on the field? Manusky? Scheme? Over-agressive? Bad players?
I am in full-on blame mode with no clue whom to blame. Help!

Just a thread to get some dialogue going about two plays that have killed us consistently this season... the F'ing Flea Flicker and the Screen.
Hey Greg Manusky, you have over a week to fix this ongoing problem. We are getting killed by these plays over and over again. Please fix it.
This is what it looks like, mkay? Thanks brah.
This has been a onogoing problem for a number of years and honestly I do not have faith that this will change.
For how many years are we getting screend, double moved and trickplayed to death? I lost count.

The 'flea flicker' has been a problem for years. It seems every time the Nines would play the Eagles, the D would get burned badly on a flea flicker play, normally, to start the game.

Bad safety and linebacker play is the main cause.

Alex Smith plays Madden the same way he plays the position...
