How many games will Troy Smith win?

The majority of the Zone seems to be intriged by the play of Troy Smith and rightfully so. But, considering our current record, head coach, and long-term quarterback situation, I have created this poll to try and keep things in perspective. Assuming the majority of the votes will fall somewhere in the middle, ask yourself this: does the emotional value of a few wins out-weigh a losing season and the resulting top five pick next year?

QB's don't win games or lose them, its a team sport. But I would say we may get another 1-2 games as a team.

No, I'd rather have the high draft pick that then temporary gratification of winning a meaniless game.

Denver is a poor team and has a s**tty defense.. Couple that with the fact there is hardly any tape on Troy Smith and this kind of result happens all the time in the NFL... Watch, as teams know how to prepare for Troy Smith, some of us Niner fans will be brought back down to Earth....

Camper is right. they were debating it on ESPN. when a qb is a free agent it's one of the stats you look at. you know like sacks for a OLB. i mean when you gt a linemen as a free agent you don't look at his career record.

I will not blame a QB for coaching ineptitude, which we currently have, which normally creates L's for us.

unofficially, everyone looks at whether a team wins when so-and-so is at QB, but its not an official stat, and anyone who actually watches football--case in point, the 2010 49ers--knows that there's a lot of ways that teams win/lose that have absolutely nothing to do with the QB.
