generally, when your QB plays well, you have a good game. In my mind, there have been only 2 situations where Alex Smith played "well" and we still lost: in Seattle in '09 and against the Saints this year.
If your QB plays well, they are sustaining drives and eliminating turnovers...YOU WIN

The only thing I see is a really young QB throwing PERFECT passes, both in the pocket and on roll outs. Sam Bradford in the first 8 weeks of his career is better than any QB we've had since Garcia. I really don't want to have to play him the next 10 years. But he is still a rookie and you have to learn how to win on the road.

I can imagine some of the Niners having some sort of resentment towards Lewis since hearing of his ass giving our s**t away. Its stupid-he didn't have to give all kinds of info to their team. I hope he gets gassed guarding us and really hope Smith exploits Lewis for a game winning touchdown. That would be the s**t.

But a 4th quarter come back cures a lot of ills. Still I hate the idea of tying or have to hold a small lead with our defense. We continually choke when it counts the most. In that game, Alex did everything he could to bring us back and the d caved. But Still, it is bad when one of your outstanding games includes two picks

Im worried about this too.
I'm keeping my blind faith that Troy Smith will be as efficient as ever and get us another victory. Coupled with an Arizona victory over Seattle, and the playoffs look very manageable.
But we may get beat deep a couple of times. Hopefully, we can get into Bradford's head early.
