- We were right not to make a run at McNabb.
- We were wrong not to make a run at Vick. Though to be fair, at the time, he was an unknown commodity. Who knew his career would have a resurgence?
- We were wrong not to aggressively pursue a pass-rusher like Peppers. That's the problem on our defense. We have to "scheme" our pressure, and that leaves us vulnerable against the pass.
- Offensive coordinator is green. I think he has talent, but he's green.
- Defensive coordinator has some good moments, but the lack of a pass-rusher hurts us. Some of his coverage schemes are questionable. No idea if that's him, or that's Singletary.
Sure this OC is green and has potential, but why wasn't he given the reigns early on in TC? That's on Sing. Instead we dug ourselves in a 0-3 hole because of Sing's butt-buddy Raye.
Doesn't matter who the OC is, look what he has to work with at the QB position! We got to number 1 overall picks that can't play the position. Hell, one can't eventhrow ten yards yet we called Hill noodle arm? We are screwed because we went out and got lethal weapons for a QB that can't play at this level and in doing so we have neglected other asspects of the team CB/Pass rusher/kick returner/NT...
Yeah but you wanted Mcnabb. Mcnabb is having a worse season than Alex, and he has one of the sharpest offensive minds in the league as his coach, that's a fail. The OC does matter, Alex's QB rating is at 85 under MJ, and in the last 7 quarters he's thrown 5 TDs and 1 INT, get a clue.[/quote]
What are his total numbers, it would be easy to compare him souly to the Raiders and Panthers! Also, how many checkdowns and roll right throw aways? Next you will be saying "yes we are 1-6 but Alex is undefeated on opening drives"...
McNabb or Vick with our talent (Gore/Crabtree/Morgan/VD/Ginn) would be lighting it up!
Championship.
