No...Smith is horrible and has done nothing but SUCK. Ive been calling on him to get cut for a long long time.

In my 40+ years as a 49er fan this team has to be the most disappointing I have ever wathched. With the mid-late 70’s teams the coaches didn’t have talent, Erikson no talent, and even Nolan his first 3 years, however Singletary and this team have no excuse. You have 4 Pro Bowlers, 3-5 other players who are high quality players, 2-3 future pro bowlers, and we are 1-6? This squarely falls on the coaches.

Who has to go

The Yorks, obviously Jed is not learning from Uncle Eddie and his mistakes. We have to bring in a legitimate football GM and coach. It kills me that York did not have the balls to tell Singletary Holmgren is going to be GM and Pres. If you don’t like it tough there is the door. Jed you want your f*cking stadium so bad than produce a winner.

Singletary and take your entire coaching staff with you. You can tell a team is poorly coached when you lead the league in turnovers
8-12 penalties a game
WR not running proper routes
CB who get beat and look old
Pathetic pass rush can only get a sack through schemes or rushing 6

Alex Smith – Another nice guy this was his year to make it or break it. Obviously he does not have “it”
Carr – Who thought this guy could play?
Clements – adios must be nice to get 80 million and be an avg. CB
Spencer – back to be a dime CB
Haralson – thanks for the one decent season
Brooks – another 1 season wonder

I'm saying it's time for Frank Gore to go.... Call me crazy yaddayadda but I think he hampers this offense. We are constantly trying to feed the ball to him every single week. And I believe it hampers our game planning. Not to mention that he has a few good years left so I would trade him while he still has some value. Just my opinion. All the great team run their teams in this fashion (patriots, Eagles, etc..) We use to be cut throat as an organization.. It's time to bring back the way we use to do business..
