This shiet is not funny... nor is it entertaining... you are right you were going to get hell for this.

I'm sick of losing. JUST SICK! and Singletary is not Head Coaching product... YET....

I have to agree. It's sad but true.

I think fans (including the Smith supporters) sense the end is near of the Nolan regime. What I like about Jed is that he seems to be a FAN first, and a businessman second. He feels what the fans are thinking, and Im sure he'll be the first to hand Sing and Sith the pink slip when the season ends.

Time for a new regime in Ninerland. Starts with coaching (hopefully Gruden), and ends with finding the next quarterback to lead this team back to the playoffs.

I wish I had as much confidence in Jed like you do. Basically his father had a few opportunities to make a splash and hire competent people. Newsflash; HE DIDN'T. SO far Jed's track record has not been exactly stellar and he doesn't seem to want to hire a savy GM either! Go figure.

I agree with you. It's possible that Jed is not as brain dead as Singletary, but we don't know that. They may be kindred spirits . . . hollow men (professionally speaking). One possible (and probable) scenario is that at some point the Niners go on a meaningless winning streak, Jed takes that as a show of competence and decides to go with the status quo. It could easily happen. It did in 2008.

PS: Nolan must be getting a big laugh out of all this. He talked Singletary into taking on the HC job and now the team is even WORSE than when he was running the show.

All that said: This season certainly IS entertaining. And if Singletary does keep interfering, sputtering on the sidelines, shining at his press conferences and keeping the team's level of incompetence at a high . . . there will be more entertainment on the horizon.
this ish aint fun
And, for your entertainment, the RADA game! The two worst franchises in the league, right here in the Bay Area!

Think of the possibilities!!

QBs being yanked, sideline drama, screaming, bad body language, tv shots into the owners's boxes (oh, the horrors)... Yes, folks, this is entertainment.

Now, if the 9ers go 0-6 think about the press conferences, the tweets and emails, denials, apologies, promises, maybe a locker-punch. Does it get better?

The stands will be a black-shirted majority. They will beat on 9er fans who have bags over their heads and are thus defenseless.

The only thing that will save either sorry franchise is if one of the pre-game jets accidentally drops the big one and ends the misery...

Wouldn't miss this one for the world.

Jed went with the hot pick when he gave Sing the reigns. The entire NFL community, including the Niner fanbase, was asking for it. The question isnt whether he made a mistake, but rather whether or not he can learn from these mistakes. The fact that Raye is fired, and Alex/Sing will likely be gone by the end of the season tells me that he acknowledges there's a problem in Ninerland, and is willing to make the changes to get this team back on track. This is something we did not see with York Sr., who stuck with DErikkson, TDonahue, and Mike Nolan well past their time limits......
Brings back memories of the XFL...definately not entertaining.

It's not entertaining. I called every game so far. Competitive against the good teams crappy against the bad teams. This week will be a win. Maybe even a big one. Just enough to give us hope before we go back in the crapper.
it will make our SB win that much better
ya it's been pure comedy if you're a niner hater.

Well said, and I sure hope you're right.

What worries me, is what you mentioned in your previous post. You mentioned that it was a good thing that Jed seems to think like a fan. Uncle Eddie certainly was a fan first and there's no question regarding whether or not that was a good thing. But he had the wisdom to let Carmen Policy *run* the team.

On the other hand, you have a different breed of fan owners: your Dan Snyders and Jerrah Joneses that are co-GMs and Co-HCs.. I sure hope Jed has the maturity to steer clear of those rocky shoals. After all, the only thing worse than an dead beat owner is an overbearing owner.

Let's hope that Uncle Eddie really does have Jed's ear. I'm terrified that we're becoming Redskins West.
yeah.. too bad all this excitement comes from OFF THE FIELD.
If I was an owner and I hired a motivation, glorified LBer coach as the HC, I would MAKE SURE that he was surrounding by cutting edge, brilliant coordinators. It's simply logical. The fact that Jed wasn't able to realize this really hurts his credibility, and doesn't instill much hope for the future.

I'm going to catch hell for it, but it needs to be said... Noone can call this team boring any more!

It's been a rough decade to be a Niner fan. 03, 04, 05, 07, parts of 08, and a significant chunk of 09 were the most boring years of Niner football I have ever seen in my life. The product on the field was boring, the press coverage was boring, the team was boring.

I highly recommend embracing the dysfunctional mess that is the 2010 49ers. Every week we've got something new: communication issues, fired offensive coordinators, players quitting, embarrassing guarantees from the owner, daggum awesome media meltdowns, and new ways each and every week to steal a loss from the jaws of victory. Evey week week these guys find a new way to turn the ball over. It is epic as hell! And as a bonus, my alcohol consumption has really skyrocketed the last month and a half!!

I love the train wreck that is this 49er season. Let out your inner masochist. I can't wait to find out what disaster awaits tomorrow. Next year Singletary will be gone, Smith will be gone, and we can start what surely will be another rebuilding cycle that will never deliver the goods. In the meantime, laugh this one off, it is truly an awesomely terrible season. I can't wait to find out how they are going to blow the Raiders game. My money is on a dropped lateral pass, they haven't done that yet!

I like it Patty! You can sit next to me in: LE east 33 6-7 any time. I also read your other posts about the booing etc, I thought you were good, kind a level headed, and... well.... Heck don't wanna rise my warning level!

I like it tho, how else to deal with the extreme stupidity we know as the 49ers..

HOE W FAR THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN...like an abyss, you know?
