And this is the pinnacle of ignorance.

If our D had stopped Atlanta and New Orleans, we'd be 2-3 even with miserable offensive turnovers. Come on dude. For this to even be called an average defense, they should have stepped up in either of those situations, but they didn't.

I know. I'd still take last years over this years; They were getting timely turnovers in a lot of games. This year we aren't.
Last year's. We have been blown out twice in 5 weeks.
the one with deion sanders
last years

more turnovers and less points

Hell yeah, one of the most underrated defenses ever. Overshadowed by the offense. Pro Bowlers at almost every position.

Secondaries: Tim McDonald, Merton Hanks, Deion Sanders were all Pro Bowlers (Eric Davis should have gone in that year as well).

LB: Ken Norton, Lee Woodall, Plummer...

Line: BY, Stubby Brown and Jackson...

- 98

Outside of Deion, that pass defense was a bit weak. There was even a game where we almost lost to the Rams where Deion got burned a couple of times by Flipper Anderson. In the playoffs they gave up 28 and 26 in the NFC Championship and Superbowl games as well. It was the offense which really stole the show.

That's why I'd go with either 1984 or 1989 defenses over 94 defense. In 1994, the offense was so unstoppable that it masked the weaknesses in the secondary.
Hands down 89 defense.

um, ok.

I'm ignorant because you prefer the 27th ranked scoring defense over the 4th ranked scoring defense? Haha. ok, I'll gladly be ignorant.
