No, he isn't an idiot. He is a very passionate guy who needs to learn to control his emotions. He also needs to recognize that the game has changed offensively. If he can learn to do those two things, he can be a very good coach. However, that will take time, something this franchise, and fan base doesn't have.

Too bad he was the guy they moved up to be HC. He wasn't qualified. He needs to go study under a guy like Belicheck where he can see how a defensive-minded coach can turn over the offense to something with a modern view of the game. Too bad Dungy is no longer coaching. That would be a good place for Singletary to go and study.
