I guess most on the webzone don't really follow football, spoiled by Montana and Young, under Walsh. We definitely don't have that situation but, what team does? Smith is a young QB, he is not the problem, he is not holding this team back. Who knows what he'll develop into but I'd hardly give up on him at this point. I have seen improvement from Smith on a weekly basis, but he isn't going to perfect on every play. You morons are ready to start a witch hunt and run someone out of town. I'm not saying we don't have problems as a team but you can't pin it on one guy. Sheesh... Let's hope we can get a W tonight and get the season back on track. If we do make a run this year all you Smith/ Singletary bashers can then go root for the raiders.

As I said... root for the raiders then. Can't throw a 5 yard dump off? What happened to the nickname "Captain Checkdown". I understand the fan base is salty, Iam too at 0 & 4... But 90 percent of this board doesn't know anything about football. Smith isn't the problem... We'll see tonight.

If we don't win tonight, something needs to be done.

A. Vick is down, meaning our D should capitalize on their O (hopefully).
B. Samuel is down, meaning crabtree should have a field day on the rookie, if Smith can get him the ball.

If both A and B don't follow through, then that means our D is playing crappy.. again, and Smith can't find an open reciever and exploit mismatches...

Fact- We had a 1 point lead with 1:28 on the board. The offense put their offense in horrible field position(the8). The defense gave up the final go ahead score.

Fact- Against the Saints. Same same

Those are facts. Your statements have no real factual evidence besides what you believe to be true. This is my opinion here.. People fail to look outside the box because of the complete obsession they have with one player. They thrive on every little mistake or miscue the player has. They look for it. Ryan had a worse game than Smith til' the defense gave the game away. Difference is, is his team didn't make those mistakes/miscues like our whole team did. If it wasn't for Roddy White, playing smarter and wanting the game more than our defense did, we should have won.

Not saying you are wrong in your assesement. I'm starting to question Alex more and more. Only saying peoples obsession with Alex is masking a lot of the other parts of our team that are in trouble as well. This isn't all Alex's fault. He deserves his fare share of blame. But if other players on our team would have made plays when needed, we may be sitting 2-2.
