Nate Clements for not thinking and losing that INT that coula won us the game.

What a plug, should of just not intercepted it and let Matt and Co. run out the clock and score a TD on us! what was he thinking trying to make a play. We would have been better off letting them keep moving the ball on us so easily then making them start over.

I haven't been this upset and dejected watching a game since the Lakers lost a 25pt lead to the Celtics in 2008 Finals....I don't know guys....10 yrs ago if you told me the niners would be going through this type of nonsense I would laughed at you. I would of never of thought we could sink this low....What hurts more is when we lost before it was because of lack of talent but now to have talent in place and still be winless....well that's hard to take...

My blame game goes like this..

I blame Nate for not being smarter and covering up the football....He probably was thinking about some clause in his contract that gives bonuses for scoring touchdowns or something....Thinking "Me" instead of "Us" and it cost us dearly.

I also blame Alex for not stepping up as a leader and making horrible decisions with the football...I don't know what else to say for this guy other than he just doesn't have it....sorry kido...We NEED A QB!!!!look at the Rams...Fricken Sam Bradford is leading that team with nothing. QBs make all the difference...

i think it's pretty apparent that Smith is only good for one good drive per game. Whether it comes at the start of the game, or the end. He needs A LOT of help to win. NEVER will we be able to put a game on his dainty shoulders.

That grounding call was VERY questionable!!

I never blame a loss or credit a win on 1 player or a couple players even...THEY lost...all of them...53 of them...not 1 or 2 or 3.

for the most part I agree but stupid mistakes and turnovers that are often the case of W vs L in this league are usually the result of one player making a mistake

Just one less turnover in each of the NO and Atl games and this team imo would be 2-2

Now this is truly a team.

Im listening to the radio, power 99fm, for the East Coasters.

And they put Mcnabb's talk to the team, this what was said, after his horrible day for 1td, 1int. a 60 QB rating, and 16 for 34 for 145yds.

"This is what defines a Team. Defense, you won the game for us today. I know the offense is struggling, and I only have 3 td's for the season, but the offense will get it together. This win tho is what defines a team, and we came together today and pulled out the win."

Just wow. Our QB threw two int's with 9:24 left to play in the 3rd quarter so game was far from over. The Skins D, and running game stepped up tremendously and they won. Why cant our team come thru like this. This is the biggest issue for our team.

If the offense isnt producing what it should, if we won the game 10-7, who cares because good and great teams all say the same thing. WE dont care if we win by 20 points or 1 pt. Just as long as we get the W its all that matters.

REgardless of yesterdays game, we had it won, after the Nate Clements INT. Then they got the ball back at i think the 10yd line. I knew in my heart, it's cool, cuz no way they'll get it down the field. Then what the D caves in, and they convert at least 3 key third downs, and thats ball game.

Why cant we have a game, where we go, D. Being that you are supposed to be the force in every game, thanks for winning it for us. But nah, with us it's damn, how could u let them catch that.

Oh well in this loss, i blame the team again.

Whew, i actually read all the finger pointing above, and most everyone had his good points. However, here is a question:

Would a team, or did a team, ever coached by Parcells, walsh, lombardi, bellichek, Payton...and many others...EVER have one of their teams:

1.) field punts at the 6 yd line in horrible, high velocity and gusting winds, only to fumble?

2) consistently fumble in the red zone(yeah, Delanie has a hold on this crappy record, but there are others).

3). consistently get in a "gotta hold these guys" Defense and then have a good D revert back to PREVENT D ?

4) over the first 18 mos of their careers, fail to get plays to QB in on time, nor even not realize the destructive nature of this incredibly stupid act? AND THEN when the problem was beaten to death in the media, the HC blames it on the headsets...which we all knew was a blatant lie? ie, the coach wants his job so bad, that he lies to keep it?

5)have a DB intercept a ball with time running out and his team ahead, and not have him take a knee?

6) get a team all jacked up for a big game(like last yrs SB winner) and then have the C go out and hike the ball over the qBs head into the end zone?

7) have one of those HCs go to a presser, time and again, and show to all the world he didn't know those "Xs and Os", and basically couldn't even remember who caught what or who forgot to cover so and so?

Believe it, I could go on and on, but the list of f**k ups above is an indictment against a HOF LB, who is complete failed failure of a coach. BM (bigmike....and i suppose by now most realize i use this term derogatorily, (as in dog bm), is a flop... a failed experiment...a failure...a rah rah motivator, which as one of the commentators dryily mentioned, " that may work once or twice during the season, but you gotta know how to coach ultimately...rah, rah won't cut it".

I rest my case against a guy i used to respect...maybe even idolize, back in the mid 80s. Speaking of respect, if BM had any, he would resign now so he can't pull this team down any farther.

I end with restating why our O and D calls are so bad. I have maintained since midseason last yr that BM was micromanaging this team and one reason plays and players got in so late was because he, BM was in the OCs and DCs earpiece, trying to figure out what he wanted called next. NO, i cannot prove it, but read the list above, and then think of all the other things...both large and small, and it all comes down to one thing. BM is a failed coach, as well he should have been. The guy never learned how to HC , going from LB coach to HC, skipping all the intermediate stops along the way.

I have tried to research this and have yet NEVER found one instance of such a ridiculously stupid jump skip hire. It was as if jed with stars in his eyes thot, "Jeez, the HOF LB, best of all time can be the coach of the team my daddy gave me" .Basically it is that simple.

Now, where you want to put the blame for hiring a failure before he even started...well, that is the question. Yorks? You bet. Jed? Absolutely. Eddie D, for getting caught with a load of cash in his briefcase? Absolutely. Donashole and ericson for the destruction they wrought, (and Terry D was Bill Walsh's hand picked heir apparent). I mean the blame list goes on and on.

SOLUTION: first thing fire BM, say, oh, well, TODAY.
Next, give MJ and manusk free reign to call whatever plays they want. Make STs a combined effort, say D calls them one week, MJ another. Then, let those two guys , who have just been doing BMs bidding , show us what they really have...or don't have. Once, just once, i would like to see those two call a game , one O and one D, and see how this team responds.

I maintain that BM has totally , irreparably lost the locker room, and even the dimmest of the players knows BM is a failure, and having him on sidelines is just a pathetic waste. Nobody trusts him because he has proven repeatedly, he doesn't get those Xs, and Os. In short , he has no idea what the hell he is doing out there, and THE PLAYERS, to a man , KNOW IT.

FIRE bigmike(BM) today and let's see what our two OC and DC can do. Does anyone really think they can do worse?

Finally, give baalke free reign to immediately begin a professional full blown HC search. By now, even the folks who disagreed before realize that our HC must also be a crackerjack of an OC...and those are the ranks in which to begin looking.

If someone wanted to bring Tony Dungy(he wouldn't accept), or Gruden in to finish off the season, i wouldn't mind. What i do mind is that we have an ineptness on the sideline in BM, and he has gone from inept to disgraceful to embarrassing. He's like the rabbit in the tar pit...the harder he tries to get out, the stucker he gets. Unlike the rabbit, however, he isn't smart enough to get out...and we and the team have to suffer thru that. C'mon Jed... do the right thing and fire BM before he lays another bm... right at your feet.
