OK I know the offense is the worst in the league. At this moment are Defense is 1 higher at 31st. Time to talk about rebuilding AGAIN! This time it should be easier then 7 years ago. We have young core guys to build around this time, rather then a bunch of old guys.

So let's talk about making this an elite Defense. De, Nt, OLB, CB. CB.

Now yes i put cb twice, Nate's old. i trust know one but spencer. Justin smith is old lets face it maybe 2 years max at his high level of play maybe 1 if we can't get anyone to help give him a passrush.

Franklin is old, I like Francois but im not sold yet.

Manny stays, Parlys out. He can't cover the edge and is over rated in the passrush and coverage. Lawson willis and bowman rounds out the lb core. Give me a guy like d ware and lawson will beat the 1 on 1 every time.

Easy now that were top 5 again on d. lets talk about the o.

Oline is young. possible center/ rg, but besides Baas BAD snap he might be the man, Rachael looks good one play and total crap the next hopefully he can become more consistent at one or the other.

Tightend is fixed for the next decade with davis.

Wr. Until crabtree works at becoming a number 1 wr were screwed. I like mogan and the depth behind him is nicer then we've had in 10 years, but still this team is missing a number 1 wr that is a game changer like moss.

Rb. gore has a few years left we can get good use out of. Dixon has showed he was under rated but he may not be the future like barlow thought he was just yet. Adding a back like cj spiller or bush would make both gore and dixon better.

QB. One min alex makes unbelievable throw for a completion the next it's a unbelievable Int. Are there truly any great qb's coming out this year, because im not passing on a matty ice or flacco for this nice chump any more.

SO for those who don't read. QB, Rb/Speed Back, Wr, De, Dt, Cb, Cb, Kicker Longsnapper are boy isn't getting younger.

I liked your post , but Flacco just flat out sucks @ss .

I really hope we keep Lawson.... he is versatile, good in the run and pass D, as well as the field goal unit. Needs to work on the pass rush tho
I don't think we need to rebuild. I think we need coaches that better use of the talent already on the team. We have talented players on this team and with the amount of talent especially on the offensive side of the ball there is no reason we should be at the bottom of the ranking with the amount of talent we have on that side of the ball.

We do have holes on the team but I think an established veteran coach would know how to utilize the talent already on this team.
NO. No rebuilding. Remember pre-season, everybody on our nuts, "look at all that talent" they would say, and we would say" there hasn't been this much talent on this team since Mooch was here". "Man we are gonna kill this year" I said...

No, it is not time for rebuilding, every team has holes and needs, guys getting old and rookies learning their trade, its the natural cycle, and right now we are hitting the sweet spot.....as far as talent goes.

Coaching that is another matter.
-Forcing our will on another team ain't gonna cut it.
-Brawn not brains ain't gonna cut it.
-Faith in victory ain't gonna cut it.
We don't need to rebuild. We just need a few more pieces and the puzzle is complete.

indeed. Sadly, coach might be one of those pieces.
The bottom line for this organization is to hire cheap. Nolan was in charge of everything (with ZERO experience) and what was his pay per year, two point something. Competent coaches run anywhere from 6-10 million per year. The Yorks can get someone for 5 years at those numbers. And talk GM, what's that? I'll take a guess and say that the Yorks save 7 to 10 million a year by not hiring proven NFL people. Figure it out over this dark age of 49er football from 2002 to the present, where does the money go? The only kick in the behind that will motivate this ownership is the prospect of no stadium.
We don't really need to rebuild...but we need to take a step back to be successful long term imo.

Best thing we can do is tank this season for 2 things.

1. Be in good position to have a strong draft and most importingly draft our QB of the future.

2. Coaching change.

Singletary needs to go and we need to go with a guy who knows how to scheme and get the team ready by placing the players in the best position to succeed rather than try to talk big and hype them up. That only lasts so long.

Luck is a superb prospect but I don't know if we'll be good at being bad to land him. However this draft should have some good QBs - Luck, Mallett, Locker, Foles and Ponder.

I LOVE Luck for the niners but think the next best is Foles(wouldn't be a top 10 guy though)

The defense is still pretty good but we can definitely use a stud pass rusher and another top corner.

QB is really the biggest piece to get the offense working.

Rebuilding implies pretty much blowing everything up. We just need a new coach and QB. Add a pass rusher and corner and we're good to go.

Then they will just move the team to LA or Youngstown. They have the leverage.
