Actually something I agree with you on Z! Nice observation.

What really bothers me is how few tacklers we have on the ball. Good defenses will consistently have 5-6 tacklers converge on and run through the ball carrier.

Watch the game film and focus on the guys that do not have a sense of urgency. We're lacking passion for the game, determination and a sense of purpose right now. I hope that the "changes" we make include players who's "motors" never stop.

The Bears defense put on a clinic last night against one of the best offenses in the league. Rarely did I see less than 3 players on a tackle, and most of the time it was 4, 5 & 6 - quickly. That's how good defenses perform consistently (not sure if the Bears can play at that level every week like they did a few years ago though?).

I agree. Besides, Bowman is getting on the field even if he isn't starting. Now, Lewis is another matter. He seems awfully slow out there. I'd move Goldson to SS and start Smith at free safety.

A fresh offensive scheme and some points on the board will make the defense better, too.

I'm not sure if you saw the game but our defense is average at best(we made Cassell look good)....way overvalued in Ninerland...but thats cool to each his own.

Wrong. Mays to SS. Smith FS. Mays is the hammer--baby Willis

Without Gore that Saints game is also a blow out.

Excuses, the Browns held Cassel in "check" all game long. Our D isn't as amazing as the board wants them to be... yet

Bowman over Spikes would be a huge mistake. Glad it's not true.

I understand Bowman is a talented rookie, but he's just not ready. Like Mays.
