Ok this is BEYOND reasonable. I was NEVER a Raye fan either, (Anytime on national T.V the HC says "I know our new OC is not the sexy pick" he has fail from the beginning) but let really look at all angles. Alex Smith has pretty much ruin two guys career single handed (Not that Nolan and Raye did anything to help their cause) and had one QB sent away cause "he wasnt NFL caliber." Well if he wasnt NFL caliber, why does he STILL have a better record of home wins than Alex Smith in the 2 years he played. . . and if he wasnt a threat why did we trade him. . . EVERYONE makes excuses for Alex Smith not producing. Oh he hurt his shoulder, he had 6 (now 7) OCs, his line cant block (tell that to Gore with a record 21 100 yard games and 1000+ seasons) Etc. I have never seen a QB, grown man, NFL player, that has made 40m in 6 years, that is suppose to take us to the promise land, that was a #1 draft pick, the list is LONG. . . Get protected by and organization and fan base THIS MUCH! No one, NO ONE AT ALL, is holding Alex Smith responsible for his actions, everyone is hold other men accountable for ALEX SMITH FAILURE! How many other men were held accountable for Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell? This is out of hand. But go ahead. . .In the end it will only cost Singletary his job, this is Alex Smith last year on his contract (if we resign him we deserve EVERYTHING WE GET). Hopefully THEN we can get serious about winning and not become a youtube sensation screaming how "I want winners" but does nothing to prove it. Jon Gurden please come to SF and CLEAN MFING HOUSE!!!
