speed kills... that is one thing this D is lacking.

Right, your a professional football player and you can't play up to your potential because you've lost confidence in the offense. Give me a break, these guys have some serious pride man. OUR DEFENSE IS OVERRATED!!!! I know alot of you will hate to hear this but come on it's true.
Spencer made a great pick, but man he get's burnt alot or it's always his WR making a big play or it's Nate's man. Our DB's are subpar. Spikes needs to go. We should've never even signed him. When Vilma was available we didn't even bring him in. He would be a much better partner next to Willis.
Our Defensive Line is Crap! All we have is Smith, and Franklin is okay. He had 1 break out year for us. Wonder why (contract). Manny Lawson just doesn't know how to utilize his talents. Michael Lewis is crap he's slow. Dashon has rapidly regressed.

Manusky needs to get a lot of blame for this. He continues to call the most vanilla 3-4 in the game, places ZERO premium on OLB's who can pass rush, can't make in-game adjustments or identify OBVIOUS weaknesses in this defense (off-tackle runs, screen passes, zero pass rush, slow safety and ILB and piss poor coverage in the middle of the field, etc.)...same problems every year yet you freaking fans expect us to be a top 5 defense? Laughable!

Want to watch one play that exemplifies our defense? Watch the flea-flicker TD by KC. Watch an unblocked Manny Lawson lightly jogging towards Cassel as he completed that TD. NO HEART!

Exactly. The point of the 3-4 is to disguise where that extra rusher is coming from. But in Manusky's scheme they rarely blitz and when they do it's always a safety blitz that takes too long to get there. You never see combo blitzes from the linebackers. just he basic vanilla blitzes. He sure didn't learn this from Wade Phillips. I just don't understand how they have Patrick Willis and don't blitz him way more often.

and after that flee flicker I was officially done with Manny. My homie laughing like why is that guy not trying to make a play on the qb.

That one was for the Lawson Lovers out there; I hate to call out one player but if there was one play that exemplified the lack of heart on this defense/team, that was it...same exact play with the Vikings last year. Like how they practice, like how they play - half-assed!

How is an offense to blame for a defense...The game was 10-3 at half the DIFFERENCE was their defense came to play and ours got ran all over for 200+ yards. We didn't turn the ball over constantly and create bad field positions(minus the one interception) we sucked on offense but did you watch the Steelers opening game where they DID NOTHING on offense but their defense kept them in the game? I'm not forgiving the offense for their horrible play the first three weeks, but don't blame THEM because our defense has s**t the bed. 200+ rushing yards...REALLY thats DISGuSTING
