By the time (if) this team (ever) gets good, do you think Frank Gore will be out of gas? 27 years old 73 games 1,168 attempts surgically repaired knees I feel like comparing him to Steven Jackson in STL, workhorse HB on a s**t team who is wasting away his prime. Maybe it is time to put more of a load on Dixon since this season its obvious this team isn't anywhere near good enough to sniff the playoffs. All we are doing is making Gore work harder for what? I think if this team has a losing record by week 9 or 10, somewhere around there. We need to give Dixon more reps for the simple fact of doing what he was supposed to do, relieve Gore. Am I think only one who thinks its pointless of pissing away your best players gas on meaningless games at the end of the season? Just like yesterday, why wasn't Dixon playing in the second half? Why is Gore still pounding the ball in-between the tackles when were down by 25+ points? Poor guy.

He was running into a wall all day, he can only do so much without a running lane. I don't know if you are expecting him to make his own holes, but he sure wasn't getting much help. When he got a block, he was able to get out and have a couple of decent carries, that was probably when you saw "the frank of old."

Im a huge gore fan. I was just wondering if he seemed off to anybody else. Didn't want to see the comments like its another alex thread. Im sure he just needs warmed up bc of the injury and missing camp but I wanted to see if it was just me or if anybody else thought the same.

IMO gore just looked very average, didn't seem like the frank of old.

I don't expect him to create a hole for himself. Just didn't seem like he was running hard like he use to. Even when gaining a yard he loomed like he was trying for fifty and I didn't see that.
