Fan49, I dig the spirit of your thread and I'm willing to cut you a ton of slack for being a stubborn fan when the walls are caving in.

BUT: There were fairly substantial differences between Smith's and Sanchez' rookie seasons. As much as I'd like to cut you some slack, I don't think you can draw a useful argument out of that comparison.

im not saying smith is better. even tho i am a homer. im seeing the other side now.. but i dont think sanchez will ever be a good qb.

lmao! west coast is the coryell system!!! no ur stuff dude. walsh was different. i can argue later. gotta go be back on in an hour your wrong though alot of people get that wrong

This is correct, but it's so commonly used incorrectly, the truth is lost on most people.

semantics. yay.

Not really, since they are two entirely different systems.

They are different systems, but WCO is the term used to describe Bill Walsh's system. Coryell's system is dubbed Air Coryell. We arent living in the 70s man.

Walsh took ownership of WCO term, but alas, if we can agree to:

1. Pass first, run second

2. Get the ball out of the QB's hands quickly

3. Throw checkdowns to pass catching TEs and RBs

You can call it whatever you want, we can agree it needs to be re-introduced.
