Is Chilo Rachal a bust?

So you want to prove he does completely suck - then hope some team will trade for him?

The dude is soft & slow not a good combination. Trade him to Pete Carol for a 7th rounder.
The trading deadline is over (not like anyone would give something up for him anyhow), and he's at the end of his contract. I will be severely disappointed if the FO brings him back. This team improves when he's not playing.
He's had time and he's not getting any better. I wish we would kept Wragge over him.

Kept Wragge, signed Dahl, any of those guys would be A LOT better than Rachal. What that game showed is that this team is woefully lacking depth at OL.
He has regressed ...His play is poor and he has not played with a nastiness in a LONG TIME

Perhaps Kilgore is ready to take Rachal's active spot on the 45 man roster. I trust the coaches to pick the best guy but it is hard to imagine anyone being more lost than Rachal.

In addition to yesterdays debacle, Rachal has also been beaten on the field goal team, IIRC. Sadly, this guy is a bust and will likely be released rather than a trade as no team is going to spend a draft pick on him.

I disagree, I don't think he's tough at all. You would think a guy his size would be tough and agressive, but he plays sofy and very passive. He doesn't attack anyone, isn't physical when the defense comes right at him, and isn't smart enough to react when the defense does anything "tricky".
you seem to misunderstand he meant tough to watch

Busts are only for 1st rounders.

That was pretty funny.

Hmm, I wonder if the coaching staff should try some new tactics with him. A bit of psychology maybe. "Ok Chilo. We need you to pretend that Alex is an All-You-Can-Eat buffet. And that defense, they are coming to eat off that buffet - and they are gonna eat it all! When they are done, there will be NO FOOD left for you! Now get out there, Chilo and PROTECT YOUR FOOD!!!!"

I cant wait until he is off the team. Even having him as a back up is a liability.

I miss Tony Wragge

Or.....he might just try and eat Alex to get the drop on the defense.

Chilo will be a free agent after this season, he's young and may turn his carreer around, but not here

Snyder has played well, but I expect right guard will be a priority on the 2012 shopping list

Im sure he'd love to draft DeCastro, the OG from Stanford, but he may be long gone
I'd also consider Konz from Wisconsin, He's a center, but im sure he would be a solid guard till he needs to take over at OC
