Purpose: This thread will be updated at the conclusion of each week throughout the entire season. The purpose of this thread is to keep what is happening within the division in perspective. For example, after our Week 1 loss, many said the sky was falling. But what many also forget was that our competition is the Rams, Seahawks and Cardinals. This thread will track division standings, upcoming schedules, and all major NFC West related news. St. Louis beating the Redskins and the Chargers, certainly did not help.

Seattle beating the Chargers and the Bears did not help.

Arizona beating the Saints and the Raiders (game they should have lost) did not help.

These teams keep getting wins that most of us expected them to lose.

We just need to play up to our ability. If we do that, we can win eight of our remaining ten games. Heck, we could even win out.

Yeah. I mean 2 of the remaining games that didn't look winnable before, do now in SD and in GB. GB is missing like 4 or 5 good players for the rest of the season and SD's defense is trash, especially with no Merriman. Now they might be missing Gates too. If the 9ers take care of their stuff, they should be good.

Well obviously the key is to sweep the rest of the games in the division. that is 5 wins right there, which is very doable since we did it last year. Now we will need to find at least 3-4 wins from the rest of the games.

it would take a small miracle to get into the playoffs...

everyone who says we have 5 division games left and banking on them.. needs to remember that these teams also play each other..
someone will beat up the other team...
looking at the play.. I think Seachickens have the best chance.. they are the most stable/improved team..
our only hope is to obviously win as many of our own games.. but hope and pray that these 3 teams beat up on each other.... cause the games outside of our division don't look as scary anymore for any of these teams..

all of the 4 teams in this division won last week.. I don't think the west is the worst division in football..
