How about Jeff Kemp filling in pretty well when Montana went down in 86. In 92 I think the Niners were 4-5 when Young went down and Steve Bono came in and led the team to 5 or 6 wins in a row. Matt Cavanaugh use to get a couple of starts a season for a few years and usually had good games. Guy Benjamin.........can't really think of anything he did for the Niners. But he was pretty good for Walsh at Stanford.
