Now that pay was not the reason we lost but i feel like if we get that punt that we would ahve went down and scored a TD.

That game was ours but the team fell apart. They need to bounce back and what better way than on Monday night against the champs. I hope they come ready to play and i hope the fans scream their heads off and support the team

I don't expect a win, don't even feel we need to win to turn this season around, but I do expect us not to quit. Even down by 14, try to get something going where we can come back.

We were down one touchdown (plus a two point conversion) and it felt like the coaching staff's sphincter tightened up. Singletary taking 20 minutes to decide to go for it on 4th and 1 at the 1 yard line was amazing, then we take the Delay of Game penalty? I thought we were done with this s**t. Make a motherf**king Decision. f**k.

i agree with everything you said.

This game was f**ked from every possible angle. We really cant play any worse than this.

The coaching was horrible
The QB was horrible
The Running game was horrible
The WRs were horrible.
The Oline was horrible

and the D jsut gave up after a while

Bad game all the way around

Ginn looked pretty good on Punts, not so much on Kick returns though

I am praying that this game ends up being a blessing in disguise. Maybe these 2-0 / 2-1 starts these past few seasons have given the team false reassurances, setting us up for major pitfalls later in the season (eg talking about getting revenge on Minnesota in the post season last year). Maybe this kind of loss to that kind of team (Seattle) is exactly what the Niners needed. Maybe under a frenzied crowd we'll come out on fire........more than we would have had we killed the Hawks this week.

I hope Smith proves me wrong.

That was your most positive post in a long time. Wow. haha.

I just want to win. Im sick of losing. I was in high school when the Niners won the Superbowl. Now Im married, graduated from med school, work as a hospitalist...and havent sniffed the playoffs in almost a decade. If it takes Alex Smith to go deep into the playoffs, Im all for it. I dont think he can do it, but that doesnt mean I dont want him to.

Yeah I remember when I was like 6 or 7 years old and first grade and Steve Young beat the f'n packers and I got to tell off the packer fans at my school. We haven't been in the playoffs since I was friggin 11. This is pathetic. I just want him to do well, mainly because if we have to let go of everyone and draft a rookie that's 2-3 years of rebuilding AGAIN. I'm sick of this s**t. It doesn't take 5 years to build a team. Atleast not for good organizations.

I think he can be a good player, like he has potential and always has, but he's not a good player YET and may not ever be. He's going to have to get past this s**t that troubles him, like choking on easy passes. I have to wonder if when he started having trouble with his accuracy if he was locking his leg or something again. But he NEEDS to do well, because I doubt David Carr can be the guy and Troy Smith doesn't even know our system yet.

That said this whole team needed to play better today. Our secondary was toast, and TKO said it best after the game on tv "I dont care where they get the ball, they scored too many redzone points and that's something we really pride ourselves in". We need a better pass rush, that line is patchwork and we only get 1 sack? How? And our OLine didn't block for Gore, he didn't get a chance to make things happen. When they were stacking the box we should've went with play action, and we waited to throw deep(not that Smith really was hitting anything anyway) until we got behind and they're waiting for it. Smith was bad, Crabtree just looked like he half assed everything out there, our OLine didn't do s**t(I wonder if having Heitman back will help?), and our WRs didn't really do anything. Then the refs f**ked us over. Our playcalling was decent at times but overall it was bad. The only guys who earned their paychecks today were Willis, Davis, and Andy Lee.

I was surprised to see Alex still struggle even when they started playing soft coverage with the big lead......you would think half way through he would be on the sideline practicing on his mechanics or something...with the coaching staff there to tell him what is off......

like someone said in the official thread, at least Alex was consistent with his high passes, *sigh*

I agree man. It was baffling. The 2nd half of this game was easily Smith's worst performance since his rookie season. He just tried to force everything and his timing and rhythm was totally off. It's like he was throwing sht just to throw it. Then the Seahawks D was just relentless & our offense folded like a lawn chair.

Does it really matter anymore though? I'll echo the other comments in that sick of the talk, tweets, etc...they do everything but the one thing that matters above all, win on the field. Those player tweets made me sick, took getting your head bashed in to show the fire you needed to begin with? What an awful day.

He was like 17-20 in the first half...Once seahawks took the lead and knew we had to throw they came after him

I guess this makes who the republicans who have shown no bugetary restraints when empowered yet fillerbustered more in less than two years than the entire history of the legislation combined; but somehow are able to pursuade the feable minds that they have a better way?
The Dems have a filibuster proof majority you dummy, lol.

No the dummy is the one who makes a moot point. A filibuster (also known as speaking, talking out a bill or killdrivel) is a type of parliamentary procedure. Specifically, it is a form of obstruction in a legislature or other decision-making body whereby a lone member can elect to delay or entirely prevent a vote on a proposal. Stupid MF.
I know what a filibuster is you MF. The only reason your President doesn't get crap done is because members of your team can't invoke cloture because they have a few defections from red states. The socialist-Dems have 60 votes to end cloture and advance legislation, the corrupt-Reps only have 40 and can't block crap without a few socialist-Dems peeling off because they come from red states. What a buffoon.

I love when people start arguing about politics in a thread about our football team. Please stop. We all need to be on the same page of whining and crying, k? Not arguing. We all hate the 49ers' performance today, not each other and political views. Thanks.

It was the first time I've seen Smith start FAST and end brutally slow. Usually it's the other way around. That's what makes this loss so painfully confusing. Usually we start really slow and then "come back."

This game we came out firing only to quickly fizzle out mid 2nd quarter.

Awful day.....how do you think I feel the last 3 times the team has played on my BDay they have been beat. 2 of the 3 were shutouts....worst bdays ever

This team has a lot more talent than what was displayed today. When a more talented team gets a beat down like this; it exposes weaknesses which this team tries to ignore. I'm a fan, a long time fan; but this team got exactly what it derserved today. Sing has not coached his most talented players properly and made some decisions that resulted in a 31-6 score that punched him in the mouth! If he continues to play favortism; he will be punched in the mouth again.

It wouldn't have made a difference. Had the play gone in favor of Clements the D would have possibly forced a three and out. Only to let Alex and his inaccurate passing onto the field.

Alex is so inconsistent it drives me insane!

If you love it why are telling me to stop? Besides, shouldn't you be lecturing the guy who started the political crap. I can't stand either party so I'm not invested in either one, I'm just correcting the dummy who got it wrong.

With that said, back on topic.

Shouldnt Norris have caught that over his shoulder and gone in for the score....seems like that was a "leading" pass that he turned around to catch... (and I'm not on Alex's nuts, just asking other people that may have some receiving experience)...i was just a lineman :)

You're right he totally led him over the shoulder. If he would have just ran underneath the pass it would have dropped right into his hands. But Moran misjudged it and tried to adjust back to the inside which made it look like it was over thrown. At the same time Smith should realize that he's a fullback and not WR and isn't used to making over the shoulder catches. Also it wasn't necessary since he was so wide open but maybe that's where the route was supposed to end up and that where Smith was throwning and Moran adjusted to early when he saw the ball.

Smith had a bad game but I don't think it was as bad as people think. The 2 Int's were partly Carbtree's fault too. Especially the first one, if he just keeps his focus on catching the ball instead of trying to turn up the field before he has the ball then maybe he holds on to it instead of tipping it right into the DB's hands. The second one was half and half, just not being on the same page. Something that should've been corrected in preseason if somebody was able to practice with the rest of the offense. I'm not making excuses for Smith because he caved in after so many things didn't go his way! If he is going to lead us to the playoffs he has to overcome these kind of things against a team like the Seahawks! I'm rooting for the guy but if keeps folding every time things don't go perfect he'll be gone after this season.

Come on Niners you got the talent this year pull it together!
