New secondary and start over. That's how.

Cosigned. THe only guy that can stay is Spencer. The rest can GTFO.
Spencer got roached today. He looked just as bad as anybody.
I agree. But the sad thing was it looks more mental and lack of communication more than anything. They preached that all the time but yet they still make those mistakes. I just dont get it. Like the two plays where our CBs bit...if they just do their jobs those plays never happen.

You don't, our corners are just not very good. Pass rush would help though.

Bret, you are of course correct about the transgressions of Nate et al. But why is that? It is pure and simple coaching failure, both at the DB coaching level and at the HC level. bigmike(BM) is responsible for what happened out there, and there should have been a coming to Jesus moment for #22 and BM. And then it happended again, and TB learned and caught the same disease. Put the blame where it belongs, on the guy who is responsible for everything...something i have heard BM say many times. HE is responsible, and the fact his DBs can't cover is his fault. Bill walsh would have been out there on hands and knees teaching the DBs how to cover, whereas BM hasn't a clue. It is time for baalke to start thinking about who we need to replace a failed HC/OC, and replace with a professional, and by that i don't mean a motivational speaker...i mean a real coach.

Trade Veron Davis for Nnamdi Asomugha.
Trade Patrick Willis for Darrelle Revis.

I agree. The experiment is over.

Not sure why anyone hasn't picked up on this, but seeing as the announcers were too busy blaming Nate, I guess it was easy to overlook...
Nate had Lewis over the top for help, therefore, he CAN jump that route underneath. His safety is supposed to be there if it goes deep. Now Lewis is indeed "there" however go watch the replay and see just how awful of an angle he takes to the reciever... THAT is why it was a TD, not because the underneath guy played underneath.
Now if you want to blame Nate for something, I'll help ya blame him for what he really did that was awful. Watch the replay of the TD Brown gives up by jumping the route. Notice how Nate is playing inside, covering nobody, and ALSO jumps the route from the inside. THAT was one of the most rediculous things I have ever seen a corner do at any level.

I think the scondary is not the problem....its the pass rush. Sure they got to Ryan 3 times but you must make him uncomfotable every down.

Tell them to stop jumping routes so much and it would get better. Honestly that's where we get burned a lot. It's not so much speed and athletic ability. It's too much risk taking and not knowing their assignments. They look confused back there. I don't think they know their responsibilites. That goes back to coaching too.

Ok, now that Dingleberry is gone, Baalke is on his way in, and we're a lock to get SOMEONE with half-decent head coaching credentials, the thing that really worries me about our on-field performance is the secondary. Regardless of whether we move to the 4-3, our run defense is gonna be top 10 for quite some time. The only thing I WON'T be able to bear next year is watching us turn below-average to average QBs into studs all year....again. Clements has gotta be outta here. We ain't gonna pay Goldson...or at least we better not. Spencer is our only good player and he's a #2. Where are we gonna get the pieces? And who? At this point, I'd almost have a stud safety a la Polamalu rather than a stud QB. Really. This is gonna take a couple years to fix, right???

draft speed! we make fun of al davis for doing this but look at the raiders WR's and Corners, theyre hella fast and can out run or cover almost anybody. we need more speed. clements and spencer are oldskool corners, we need a remodel back there with some speed.

the secondary could be made of greek gods, but if we're not getting to the qb, we get torched. Same story. same answer.
