I hope they demote Alex Smith, and let Carr or Troy Smith play the rest of the season. This guy truly sucks. He will NEVER be good, or even average.

Your High.
No way do we pull off an upset against that team NO WAY.
Love to be wrong but if we can't beat a Seahawks team that is was in dissarray - no do we win against a team like that.

No I do not have faith in a better game next week.. We may play a little better, but, I don't see a win on Monday Night against the defending Superbowl Champs... And this does not, not make me a Niner fan.. I am by no means the type of person who has blind devotion......
I have been a Niner fan since 1986 and got to see the Walsh/Montana years. And yeah, like many others who witnessed those glory years, we are a bit, maybe even extremely spoiled. But we know what a winner looks like from the top down. And in today's NFL, you have to be great from the top down...
I am not sure Jed York or any of the York's for that matter have what it takes to guide this team back to the pinnacle of the NFL. Jed York made a move that brought me to absolute joy when he grew a pair and fired Nolan in the middle of the season. But then he did something stupid. Gave Singletary a 4 years contract, based off of a strong finish.. The same kind of finish we had in 2006, only to go 5-11 the following year. I liked to move to give Singletary the job at the mid-point of the year when Nolan was fired. But to then sign him for 4 years instead of maybe 2? I've had my doubts ever since. And I haven't seen much to change those doubts... Sure he's done a few things, is smart and articulate... But like the slogan says, "Don't tell me, show me......"
Coach Sing has continued to mismanage the team on the road, especially getting the team prepared and control of game clock situations..... You can motivate.. Great.. I still see no play-off wins, no divisions wins, no constancy on the road, critical clock management mistakes and it doesn't seem like there are any corrections being made to any of this........
Alex Smith, still making the same mistakes when it counts. Over throws, missing wide open receivers, not hitting them in stride, grounding the damn ball, trying to change cadences and hurting your o-line in the process and not picking up on that and changing what you do.. Those high passes are going to get our top receivers hurt.. You know, Bill Romanowski was on Chronicle Live a few weeks into the pre-season and was asked about Alex Smith. You may have objections to me quoting Romo here, but check this out anyway:
"You know I played with 4 great QB's! Montana and Young in SF, Elway in Denver and Gannon in Oakland. And I went to Superbowl's with 3 of those QB's as starters, and the one thing they had in common was this.... Anytime any one of those guys threw and incomplete pass, and interception be it practice, pre-season or games when it counted, they were irate about it.. They would get pissed, because they were such great competitors. They were great leaders and I just don't see that from Alex Smith. Whenever he does those things, he kinda just shrugs his shoulders, you'll see him on the sidelines smiling, you never see him get pissed and if he does, it really doesn't look like he's that upset... The great ones have the competitive fire... Sure they have short memories when they make mistakes, but failure was not an option, and I just don't see any of those competitive and leadership qualities that it takes to be successful as an NFL quarterback, not like the great ones had, in Alex Smith..........."
And you know what... He was spot on in his critique.... Coach Sing can try and make him a team leader all he wants.. Alex is no leader.... He's a boy amongst men....
With the way Sing wants to play offense, with a lackluster off an OC in Jimmy Raye (please get rid of that DAMN DIVE PLAY TO THE FB, IT NEVER WORKS!!!! EVER!!) a QB who has nothing and no consistent pass rush when it matters (at least while Brooks is out - he may be that pass rusher we need), it's gonna be another long season.....
I am just calling it how I see it.. But I don't see the playoffs this year or a division championship. I certainly do not see a win on Monday Night against the Saints....
Like they say, "Don't tell me, show me...."

You are correct. Everything I saw today points to a Niners victory next Monday.
Niners are gonna get slaughtered.

Well, that would be swell. After this magnitude of meltdown, we can all rip our hair out about how wildly inconsistent the team is after we beat the king s**t Saints, after getting our ass handed to us by the Hawks the week before.
I'm really really freakin' thrilled at the prospect of watching YET another year of inconsistent 49er football. Sign me up man. I live for it.
Yay! Can't f**king wait.
