We want Smith to exceed everyone's expectations so that we know we have a legit QB who can be with this team for the next decade. We shouldn't be hoping for anything else right now.

Just a Seahawks fan chiming in.
I guess you would the authority to say that being a Seahawk fan. How's Mr. Robinson working out as your #3.
How about Whitehurst? Sure gave up a lot for a #2. Is there any uncertainity up north about his future as a franchise quarterback?

Whether they make the playoffs or not, the Niners play in the NFC West. Little chance of them getting the first pick.

You can always tell when posters has a high opinion of themselves, when they call their own question "great".
This scenario seems far-fetched, but for the sake of argument, I'd rather win and that Alex proves himself a worthy QB with a bright future (finally).
Just being an ass...
I'll take winning a couple of playoff games then getting Brady in the off season and keeping Smith as a backup.

i would rather we make the playoffs with smith, that way we have our QB and wont have to worry about it for the next 10 years or so. depending on whos fault it is when we lose is another thing to consider. i expect big things from smith and this offense this year.

let's see, would I rather have a poke in the eye with a sharp stick or sex with Eva Longoria? This is a really hard hypothetical question.
OF COURSE I WOULD PICK BRADY OVER SMITH!!!!!!!!
