Should we use Ginn more, and work him into the O more?

For the 99th time: Speed is OVERRATED.

Morgan has much better hands, is a much better blocker, is better after the catch, can fight for jump balls, is quicker out of breaks, and knows the system better; but besides that, ya, Ginn should take his job away because he runs really fast in a straight line.
A trait which is apparently useless on this team, as the only player who can actually get him the ball deep is currently on the practice squad.

You are talking about Josh Morgan right?

He isnt better after the run or quicker out of his breaks! Can you give me your dealers number cause I want some of what you are smoking.

Josh Morgan does NOT have good hands.
whenever he learns how to catch...

And add 20 pounds of muscle.

yeah cuz desean jackson is so huge.

He won't. He's an ideal #3 WR who brings some speed although suspect hands. His suspect hands and lack of bulk will prevent him from being the #2 WR. Even though Morgan sucks we are stuck with him at #2 for now.

this
d jackson or t ginn whos faster? Ginn is good were hes at...

Josh Morgan broke a tackle last year, for something like a 40 yard run after the catch.

Has Ginn ever made a similar play in his NFL career?
I don't watch the Dolphins play.
I made an assumption. I could be wrong. But I haven't seen a single Ginn highlight where he breaks a tackle or dodges a defender with lateral agility. In every single highlight, he is either in the open field or returning a kick. Whenever he tries to dodge a defender laterally, he either trips himself up, or gets tackled quickly.

I would love it if he had this lateral agility, I just have never seen it, maybe I just haven't found them yet.
Reynaldo Nehemiah. One of the fastest men on the planet, especially in the 110 hurdles, but his hands and willingness to take a hit limited his football abilities. Ginn is good for scaring people with his speed...a little, just like Hehemiah.

Perhaps. But he has much BETTER hands than Ted Ginn.
He wont..doesnt block well enough and not as strong or physical as Morgan..Ginn is situational game changer at best..Morgan is a beast blocking for runs and downfield for YAC and he has nice field intelligence and always finds himself open and makes most of the catches even though he isnt the fastest..I like him as a 2 all around for this team right now

Maybe but that's not saying a lot. So realistically our #2 and #3 WR have bad hands. And our TE although improved has bad hands too. Only Crabtree has good hands...

Just Say'n.

I think the only thing Ginn proves with these highlights, is that he is fast, and pretty good in the open field, I don't see much more beyond that.
Morgan shows that he can break tackles, catch the ball in traffic, catch the high and hard throw, and move laterally.
Of course, if Ginn has more impressive highlights beyond these, I haven't seen them but would love to.

I LOVE the fact that we have Ted Ginn on our team, he is very valuable, because he is fast and can stretch the field, return kicks and punts etc.

But this thread is about Ted Ginn overtaking Josh Morgan as a complete, starting wide receiver.

There is absolutely no doubt that speed is an important trait for a wide receiver to have. But "overrated" and "worthless" are two different words. Therefore, I still maintain, that yes, although it is valuable, speed is overrated at WR.
Jerry Rice, Fred Belitnekoff, Tim Brown, Cris Carter and many others have demonstrated that speed is only ONE trait that makes a good WR.
