Parys the problem?

Haralson is hard working with good motor, but lack of speed just prevents him from being an above average player. Lawson is very good player, I just expected a lot more from him because of the 1st rd draft, his speed, and athletic skills. I could easily see him top 5 player in his position, but he just can't seem to get that elusive sack! but at least he holds his ground on run plays and is excellent in coverage.

Briggs and LaBoy did well, against 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Yes, but remember, McKinnie's weakness is small fast guys like LaBoy. Most good tackles don't have this glaring weakness. I like Laboy, but he is what I would also categorize as situational.

McKinnie was abused by Peppers last year on Monday or Sudany night I wouldn't call him a small speed rusher.

When they paid Haralson, I said "Way too soon." And I'm glad you mentioned CJ last year, because I was immediately thinking the same thing. I'm not sure why he doesn't get more flack from the coaching staff.

Parys is still a valuable player for us, just not in the first three quarters. In the 4th when tired OL's are gasping, Parys could be like the fly that won't go away.

I dont see how we can keep all of them If it comes down to those 4 i hope we ditch Haralson

I dont see how we can keep all of them If it comes down to those 4 i hope we ditch Haralson

take one DL spot(7 to 6) and put it at OLB(4 to 5), problem solved.

We can hide Mitchell on the PS, and if anyone gets put on IR from the OLBs, just bring him on backup, or whatever other area we need.

I've been on Manny's play but I am going to give him props as he played strong against the run and got a pressure.

Maybe he just needed to fully recover from the knee injury. He looked really strong out there standing up and halting the progress of lead blockers.

I've been watching him seemingly disappear over the course of the last half of the season and then this preseason he has really looked bland. I have images of him whiffing on AP twice and missing a couple tackles in the first game vs. the Colts (he missed Addai I think on a run). My most glaring memory of him last year was whiffing on the TFL on Chris Johnson on 4th down that could have completely turned the tide and put us in the driver's seat for a possible win.

Is it time to be thinking he may be in line for a cut? I'm not saying this year, because I just don't see that happening to be honest, but with all of this developing talent below him on the depth chart -- hell even LaBoy put him to shame last game -- should he be worried about his spot? Thoughts? I'd rather discuss someone other than Alex Smith and Nate Davis at this point to be honest.

He should def be worried about his spot, if Laboy can repeat his performance next week, and Briggs stays consistent. He might just be depth at this point. Laboy has the edge on Briggs cause he is a vet and has produced before. To bad he could be Mr. Glass, but while he is healthy he can really add a new dimension to this D. Rather than settle for a average/good pass rusher in Parys who can set the edge but can't tackle or cover.

Parys Haralsons GF is hella cute I got to sit next to her at the game.

I'm a little concerned though, she looked like she weighed less than 110 lbs.
