This is a great point and fits right in with Sing's motivational mentality he thrives on. He's not trying to hate on the kid, but to prepare him for greater things to come, which is totally all up to Davis.
Who's that QB that used to play on the Falcons back in the 90's who had a crazy canon and then he bounced around the league for a few years after his Falcon's gig I think he also played on the raiders. Name's on the tip of my tongue. He comes to mind here. Lacked work ethic.
Jeff George, that's it.
What was the point of bringing up Jeff George? Are you trying to say that Nate Davis just has a big arm and nothing more to offer? It's funny how nobody mentioned much about his arm strength, but as soon as he tosses a massive bomb like that, people wanna act like he's a one-trick pony and that's all he's got.
He
was inconsistent. So were his receivers. He put the ball in spots where his guys should have caught them, but dropped them, at least 3 times. Whenever that happens to Alex, it's never Alex's fault, but apparently when it happens to any other QB, it's the QB's fault.
There's no denying he was inaccurate and inconsistent at times today. But, I'm confused as to what Singletary expects out of a guy with a learning disability that only gets 2 reps during 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 team activities, seeing as how many dyslexics learn in a hands-on environment a lot easier than they learn from a text book.
It sounds like he's mad that Nate Davis didn't call up his coaches every day of the offseason so he (Singletary) is assuming he wasn't trying to learn. He needs more reps, not only in games, but in practice.
