Oh well. If Coffee's heart is not in it, then so be it. I'd have more respect for him walking away, being honest about it, then him taking up a roster spot when he doesn't even care, or want to be with the 49ers.

I've been impressed with Sing's handling of private (player) issues to the media. Keywords: "if you want the answers, ask the player himself, not me."
Mike Nolan would've just thrown the player under the bus, or rambled on for about 5 minutes about the player's feelings through his eyes other than through their own expression.
