Lott's better than Young, but I love Steve.

Given what Owens put Mariucci and the Niners through I would not have put him on the list either.

I greatly respect Mooch and value his opinion, but I'd put Jerry over Joe.

My list would be:

1. Jerry
2. Joe
3. Steve

Mooch is biased because he was a QB, that's all. The problem with QBs: they get too much credit when things go right, and too much blame when things go wrong.

And TO should be Top 10....maybe #9 or #10.

BY definitely missing from that list

Seriously, I would have even put John Taylor at 10, Dwight Clark is only on the list because of "one" play.

Clark wasn't honestly that much of a dominant force at all. In fact Joe Montana's biggest receiving threats/playmakers before the mid-to-late 80's were actually Roger Craig, and Russ Francis.

agreed......Freddy Solomon too

Read the book "The Genius" (obviously about Walsh). It will put in perspective just how much Clark meant to the development of Joe and the early years of the 49ers.
I dunno about top 10, but these 3 guys should be real close to that list:

T.O.
Ricky Watters
Deion Sanders
