Who really gives a damn what Clayton says. This is just an opinion and besides, Bryant has yet to take a single snap in a real NFL game.

People were really frustrated with the hold-out. His performance on the field changed a lot of attitudes (very quickly) towards him.

49ers May Have Chosen the Wrong Players
Word has it that the NFL padded the 40 times and bench press count for a number of unknown, unspecified players but the buzz around many NFL teams believes it could be mostly offensive linemen, most notably OT Anthony Daivs and Mike Iupati taken at spots 11 and 17 overall.
An unnamed, unidentified, genetically ambiguous source close to the NFL said "since these players had their stats padded, it's quite possible that the 49ers selected the two weakest linemen in the first 64 picks." The NFL was contact but has not responded with a statement.
When talking to fans in the Bay Area they all discussed their horror at the possibility of tampering with combine times and statistics. "Everyone knows that it's all about the 40 and shuttle times," one fan yelled. "I can't believe the NFL would allow such a breach of trust with the fan base. The 49ers should petition the league." The 49ers have not issued a statement regarding the matter. Trent Baalke would be wise to protect himself and his new-found position by finding out as much as possible from the NFL in coming days.
As mandatory OTAs approach for June, questions will swirl and suspicion will fly given the cloud of uncertainty surrounding the top picks from this recent draft. The last thing the 49ers need are more questions swirling around play on the offensive line. It's quite possible the sky could be in full fall by mid-season if these questions aren't answered soon.

Have to wait and see. Dez is supposedly going into a "better" situation than Crabs. I dont think so. Crabs is a the real deal and is a good kid; Cant say that about Dez.

Strength and speed are way way way overrated in the NFL. Plus, if we take Sing and others at face value the decision was made on game tape not combine stats. You would have a hard time getting me to believe Iupati is one of the weakest lineman in the draft....LOL....what a joke.
I wonder if this source is Lowell Cohn....

No. Before trading for him we thought he would be a good receiver that would help TO not get doubled so much. Now we don't think he's good at all, and if he has another year like the last two he will be gone. Also Crayton and Ogletree started taking some of his reps towards the end of the season.

Amen brother...the educational system in this country needs some serious attending to.

The key words in all that are "might be" better...nobody knows yet. Bryant has yet to catch a ball that has any meaning. I'd challenge him or virtually any rookie WR to come in w/o the benefit of training camp and do what Crabtree did. 'Til Bryant proves otherwise, I'll put my money on Michael.

No way.
What Crabby Patties did last year with no OTAs and TC last year was amazing. His stats were good for a rookie in a 16 game season let alone 11 games. A whole offseason and I expect to
