With what ever starting 5 o-linemen we have going forward, they have the experience and/or at least the 'want' to smash(run) block. A effective run blocking o-line has to have that 'nasty' attitude to be successful. They have that. To hell with, "but it's a quarter back league. Sing is delusional." We won't need trick, gimmick, etc plays to be successful. We have the lineman that want to drive block, instead of finesse block(ie. The Colts, New England, or New Orleans). Give me the line that resembles the Jets...Yeah the kind of line that got a rookie QB get to the playoffs. A QB that had, what 1 year of college ball starts? What happens when P. Manning, Brady, or Brees gets hurt? Think about it. There hasn't been great QB's or should I say poster players of the league, that has been drafted, vs other recently position players drafted and their talent level that's a game changer. Which makes me say, if there's nothing to sell, something will to change. The league will revert back to how the game is supposed to be played, with real make sense football rules(like wrs no longer getting away with the Randy Moss push off). What the type of players the league will sell? NOT over-rated QB's. The future QB will be asked to manage the game, but strike as a chess player in the game. All of this will benefit our team, now and the future. We will change how the game is played now. Oh, and to other defenses, please stack the box. Because unlike in 07', we have TE's and WR's and promising backup RB's this time, with a o-line thats WAY better. Teams think they will know what's coming, while always saying, "but if they pass it, we in trouble." 4 yards and a cloud of dust, I'll take every time, while our defense gives the ball right back to us after we score.

a lot of people are saying if we have 2 rookie OL on our line this year we may be in trouble....i disagree.....2 rookies will do better than Baas i got benched and Snyder i gave up the most sacks in the league despite not starting every game.

People need to realize that it will be an improvement even with the inexperience. We give up 40 sacks instead of 50+ with rookies....that is the point and this will translate to more yards, points and fewer turnovers = wins.

it's not rocket science.....we will not give up a PLETHORA of sacks this year, and even if it seems to be a PLETHORA, it will be less of one than 2009

You do realize that finesse is what got us 5 Super Bowls right? The West Coast Offense was FAR from Smashmouth football.

Finesse yes, but not in the shotgun the whole game like Indy in a era where WR's get love and away with non-push-off calls!

At least we were in the 2-back set. You do remember right? So defenses had an idea what might be coming...but couldn't stop it. Just like they wont stop getting "Hit in the Mouth" this year with a o-line that rather drive block than anything else.

I didn't say that. AND nobody is like Joe Cool! Although with this kind of offense, you just need a QB that can sell the play action and throw that deep 20yrd comeback pass placed at the sidelines for only the wr to make an attempt to catch.
