we should be around 12-15 range, and cards 22-25, well i guess when Steve Young left we should of stayed in the top 3 teams RIGHT???????

Speaks volumes about our division. We have the worst rated team and out of 8 divisions the "best" team in ours is ranked 12th

ESPN rankings are always wrong. They had the Saints as #19 last off season and they won the whole thing.

They also had the Jets and Bengals at 23 and 24

well look at it this way.
we didnt beat anyone rated higher than us other than Zona.
we aint got no respect because we haven't earned it. no playoffs in how long?

Why not though? They have a young front 7 on D and one of the best young QBs. They're lacking at CB and O-line. Bulaga will help... maybe or maybe not

I actually think they are better than the Viking in that division.

Young does not equal good.

They were swept by the Vikings. Rankings should be based on what you've done, not where you think a team might be. The Packers still have to prove they can play defense. Bulaga doesn't play defense so even if the Pack keeps Rogers upright, they still get scored on way too much.

You make a fair point. And I woud not necessarily disagree.

But then writers wouldn't be able to fill out copy by projecting into the future. Most of which is out the window once the season actually begins, I agree.

By the way, where do you rate the Niners in the Power Rankings? I take it that you're not agreeing with the majority of the more ardent posters here then?
