Scot made the board, but Baalke made the picks. -Most of the picks in the first 2 rounds were no-brainers, but it was Baalke's balls that made this one of the best in ages by picking 2 o-linemen. (And much love still goes to Baalke cause in essence he helped Scot amongst other personnel scouts assemble that board of talent).

I'm very, very happy so far. The common denominator is physical dominance. Davis, Iupati, Mays, Dixon, & Ginn all have the capability of physically overwhelming opponents through size and/or speed. We've taken a huge leap forward in terms of our physical abilities in the last week.

Davis & Mays are the wild cards. If Sing can get the most out of their abilities, we're in fantastic shape.

I feel like if sings "fysical" style falls on its face this year, most of the picks this year will help the next coach/regime.

The first day was A+, INCLUDING the trade up. Remember what Walsh gave up in order to draft Jerry Rice.

Initially I gave day 2 a B, only because I felt there was a greater need for a cover safety than a SS. However, after thinking about it, I believe it was the correct call because of Michael Lewis' history of concussions. Concussions are things that build up - the more you get, the more susceptible you become to further concussions. That makes Lewis another Jeff Ulbrich in the waiting.

I also think it was the correct call because Goldson, though a hard hitter, does not have the size to withstand that kind of pounding. He needs to focus on learning to be the cover safety the team must have. I am not willing to say he cannot do that after only one season starting.

As to the picks today, they are a C. Another big back is not going to add balance to a running game that is already big but not diverse.

Byham looks like the replacement for Bajema but with better hands - nice but nothing special.

And we all need to recognize that his draft was not totally the creation of Baalke. Scot McCloughan had a great deal to do with putting the pieces in place, Baalke only pulled the trigger. Still execution is key.

I don't think any other picks will change my mind - this one gets a B. Very good but not great.

At first didn't like the 6th rounders till i saw Dixon highlights. Now if he can get something for Coffee, Hill/Jones, or Bass before we cut them that will really be something

NOBODY can say the 9ers FO isn't listening or trying to make this team better. Seems every concern the fans had about the team was addressed, including making a big run on signing UDFA's.

I like the fact that he addressed alot of needs gave him a B. Would have been an A with maybe a change of pace back a little redundit with the big backs.

Thanks to the entire scouting department for all the hours they spent on the road watching games, game film and workouts. Nice draft and some good prospects from the UDFA pool, too. Reasons to be excited about the upcoming season.
