To me, its alot more fun than baseball (the "hot stove league"), but you're absolutely right, its best to temper one's enthusiasm. The Niners have disappointed before after a promising off season, although it was under a different coaching regime.
Nevertheless, its good to see that one of the biggest problems for the Niners last season, the OL mess, is being focused on and addressed. Whether it will mean a better OL next season, or translates to more wins, who knows. But at least its being addressed.
