why would he be happy that means less touches which means your value on the teams lessens then they want you to take a pay cut.

he only avg 5.4 yds per carry and a little more than 10 yds per reception thats .4 yds more than gore per carry and about 2 yds per receptioon a true homerun threat would avg more than that especially in college chris johnson avg over 7 yds per carry in college and reggie bush had over 8 yds cj had 5.4 hardly comparable IMO hes is vastly overrated and if you have a bottom 5 OL you just cant afford luxury picks

This because we already know that Gore just wants to be the main all around back on all downs. He didnt like it when it was said Coffee would come in last year to relieve him on certain downs, so it's expected that he's definitely not gonna like adding yet another Back.

Exactly, when he gets hurt it really leaves us in a pinch, Coffee is a decent RB and will improve this season, but I agree we need some speed at RB to keep the defense on their toes, Spiller or Best would give us another weapon for our arsenal.

Any running back that doesn't want every carry shouldn't be in the NFL. It would be detrimental to the team if Baalke doesn't try to add quality backups that could be as productive as Gore. Most 2RB and 3RB teams started out with a primary back and then found that the back-ups could be as productive as the starter, so they did the smart thing and shared carries to preserve all the RB's for the entire season.

i do want to go to the playoffs, and spiller is the quickest route there... we lost 6 of 8 games by 7 points or less, rookie o-linemen don't just magically show up and start dominating from day 1, with spiller we have another weapon to add to smith's arsenal that can open up the offense and turn some of those close losses into wins. truth is spiller fits the spread offense much better than gore does. not to mention the shorter field position smith will have to contend with now that we won't have arnaz battle returning punts for 3 yards.

He better get use to it because he only has a couple years left of solid running.

I can't remember the last time he was healthy.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Frank Gore - but this will only benefit him and make him fresh.

Thats why we should draft a KR/PR that can play DB or WR. I would go for Cox or McCluster later in the draft. The more carries Gore gets, the better he runs.
